Lord from heaven," the Luciferian spirit of fiery divinity. The human being is now moving up from beast to god through the Midgard (Norse mythology) or mid-ground of man's estate. His awareness is in the conscious mind, which is a blend formed midway between the subconscious mind of his animal self and the superconscious mind of the god, his divine part. Strangely this duality and its interrelation is figured in the Bible under a typism so abstruse that it has escaped detection until now. One now sees that our common phrase, when affairs are at odds: "Everything is at sixes and sevens"--has a remote but arresting origin in numerical typology. For the two numbers, six and seven, are employed in the Bible to stand for the two elements in our composition. Six types the unregenerated child of the Mother; seven the finished product of nature and spirit in conjunction, or man the Christ.
Is this arbitrary and without true basis? By no means. Six emblems the natural man for the excellent reason that he is the product of the first six energies of life working through the first six "days" or aeons of creation. (See the Genesis lecture, No. 7 in this series.) Arcane science of old informs us that the first three creative waves of energy proceeding forth from the First God brought matter
9
from its inchoate formless condition into a sub-atomic state available for crystallization into actual substance. The fourth wave then precipitated it into visible "matter" as we know it, physical substance, embracing the ninety-three elements of our mineral kingdom. The fifth wave raised it to the vegetable kingdom, and the sixth lifted it to the complex development of animal forms. Man, as animal, on the side of body, is thus the highest product of six evolutionary impulses or outgoings of force. Six is therefore the numerical index of man the first, the natural man, child of Mother Nature.
But the ancient books say: "With the sixth creation closed the order of song." This odd statement seems more than mystifying. Its meaning must be sought in connection with another recondite text: "The Framer made the Creations six in number, and for the seventh he threw into the midst the fire of the Sun." The natural order, the creation of the first six elementary powers, is under forces that move in stately rhythm, the poetic "music of the spheres" and "the morning stars singing together." This is the harmony of Nature, so eulogized. There is no element of mind to step in and inject independent, self-willed movement into the melodious chant of Nature. But with the seventh comes Man, the independent thinker (Sanskrit man means "to think") and venturesome actor, and he can throw the movement into discord, or inject discordant notes into it, if he acts "out of tune with the Infinite." Hence his coming with the seventh principle, mind, the germ of self-acting divinity, to mingle with Nature's harmonious procession, breaks the order of song--until man learns through aeons to fall once more into rhythm with Nature at a higher level and restore the harmony he jangled into dissonance for a time. And the "fire of the Sun" thrown into the work of the first six creations to subject them to a higher lordship is none other than the ray of conscious spiritual intelligence, the divine Ego in man. The Promethean fire myth and the theological Fall of Lucifer (the name meaning Light-Bringer) amplifies this section of the allegory and needs no further elucidation. Astrology, however, has preserved the record of the transition from natural man to spiritual, from the era of "song" to the era of mind, in the fall out of place of the sixth pole star, one in the constellation of Lyra, the harp, and the passage of the pole into the constellation of Hercules, the Man. The axis of life shifted from cosmic harmony to the mind of Man.
The animal man, summit of Mother matter's creative edifice, was to be completed and redeemed (from mere animality) by the coming of the seventh principle. He was given dominion over all beneath him, the beasts of the field, the fish of the sea and the fowls of the air. He was to put all things under his feet "by that power whereby
10
he is able to subdue all things unto himself." He was to conquer the serpent, the scorpion and the tiger in his own animal subconscious, not out in the jungle, be it noted--else the whole matter is worth only a buffoon's jest.

It depends on what you are looking for as proof. Maybe it's not the complexities of a God that stands out and screams here I am but is littered amongt the subtle. I've gone full circle after realizing I too was looking for the dramatic.

Ephesians 2:8-9.

In my teen age years searching the scriptures to understand God's word that was my epiphany - my "born again" experience when I first understood. We cannot earn salvation by being perfect and doing good works - legalism. Rather we earnestly repent repeatedly asking forgiveness and there is no limit to the number of times we can fall as long as our heart is right and we are in ernest. The spirit changes our heart over time in a process called - eludes me a block - but working out our faith with fear and trembling. Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. S-something - blasted will remember it later....

Did God invent pants?

"breeches" in the geneva bible, "fig leaves" in the King James. I prefer breeches! Arabs and ancient Jews wore "robes" and the greeks - well as one classics professor stated they were all peverted, sort of Nazis' in sheets with no underwear.

Certainly she did.

Ha! like that in heaven there is no male or female. Suppose God used men who wrote "He" or Father, they were inspired to write such. Patriarchal society and all. Even so the bible did more to raise the status of women than any other religion.

Renpenting isn't what God wants either, Just your devotion and that is it. Jesus already bought your forgiveness.

I have no life - I am a care-giver this is an outlet that helps - have a beautiful sailboat at the end of the dock but all I can do is work on her. I do have sitters and get a 4 hour break each weekend, another lady who covers appointments, and my boys who also help out on occasion. Phone calls, TV, Zoloft, Welbutrin, and a couple Valium at bed time, a psychologist, the Church. Iife is on hold waiting, waiting, waiting, listening to Loreena Mckennitt, Enya, Sylvia Burnside and Audry Ganong. Waiting for my partner to deteriorate more and more until in the end I bury her with her family and life will move on. Dowland's in darkness let mee dwell by ellen Hargis, reading a section of the Bible each day, prayer. I am like a prisoner waiting to be free, hardened emotionally wrung out.... When I was 14, I spent summers doing night duty looking after my great-uncle, who had alzheimers. And my mother in law spent the last 2 years looking after her husband, she'd go to the nursing home every day to spend all day with him, feeding him, etc. I understand where you're coming from.

Don't let anyone, even if they're some sort of religious 'authority', tell you what to do. If they try, ask them to justify it, and question authority. Clothes do not make the man, actions do.

Fortunately I have her home. I inherited waterfront, lost my Dad in 07, grandmother 08, Mother in 2011, one of our best friends has walked away, and my wife will be gone in a year or two. So very few adults around but my church has been there, thank God they have been wonderful. That desire comes and goes it's a capricious thing. Had Rotator cuff surgery Sept 13, my wife fell tonight she has a very arthritic knee and is rather unstable and weighs about 223lbs I had to drag her up one of my son's old skate board ramps and then pulled her to a standing position, not something I am supposed to be doing! But both sons are at work. She has been very resistant and agitated since, up and yelling will have to go and get her back in bed. thanks for the concerns you canadians are nice folks who put up a good debate!

You are just a human having to do what millions have to do sometime during their life, 'care for your
partner during sickness', you do have a life, and be thankful for your health and, that you are not
the one being cared for.
Seems like you have lots of money and 'stuff', so be thankful for that as well.

With all of this downtime you are having, you have lots of time to 'doll up' and gad around your house,
playing dress up.

You could even shop on-line.

I don't really have much sympathy for you, you are feeling so sorry for yourself, that is enough, don't
need others to join in.

How do you think your wife feels, she is the one in trouble, suffering with no light at the end of the
tunnel.

As long as you are up on your feet, not ill, 'you have a life', figure out how to live it.

Also, true, but it's far more probable that the universe just creates and destroys and has no purpose and is without emotion in doing so. :) What people call "gods" is most likely universes doing what universes do and anthropomorphising the issue is simply the only way some people can handle the concepts. Well, that and needing some humanlike figure to attribute the universes' activities to. :)

UNI=ONE
There is only one universe and one great mind which all life must share in greater or lesser degree. To have anthro'ed the story is only an indication of the great age of the material and the necessity to use the familiar human as a frame. The big ape in the next valley was obviously a god cus he got all the chicks and first slice off the water buffalo.

Compair that to Islam one of the most mysoginistic religions in the world. In the ancient world Christianity raised the status of women.

I will accept that of course. I am not dolling up or shopping online This situation is what it is I am quite aware of her suffering and have done my best to care for her She has a record 6 inches thick because I have carried her all over the country and done everything I could possibly think of to slow this horrific disease down, even tried coconut oil, curry powder, cocoa but there are no drugs. I have never run around on my wife and never laid a finger on her. She was a wonderful kind, intelligent woman with a photographic memory, a DNS from LSU, MSN from UAB, a BSN from USA, She was a nursing professor loved by her students because she was an advocate for them - I love my wife, and can't imagin what agony she is going through with a mind trapped inside a scrambled and deteriorating brain. I have not left her side, and have no plans to place her in an institution, I know when she can only walk or transfer with assistance and can only say 5 words or less I can have hospice. I feed my wife, give all her medications, bathe her in the shower, I have learned how to dye and style her hair. But read any book on alzheimer's disease and you find out that the care-giver is the other victim fighting off depression, burn out, more prone to health problems, etc... My feelings are quite normal considering what I am going through. I have been told on about 5 different occasions by women who are stunned, amazed that I am doing this because they know of very few men who would be willing to do it. Ok I am feeling sorry for myself it does not mean I will not be terribly upset when she dies - she is my life partner and is irreplaceable to me. You do not know anything about me.

And Yes I have had a disgusting perverted desire that I have not been able to rid myself of. I thought of suicide - that would certainly be cowardly and incredibly selfish - my wife needs me and my boys need a father as long as I am able to live - they would hate me the rest of my life were I to do such a thing. And it is against God's law as is my perversion but that is between me and God and God knows I am in ernest battling it.

Better to repent and to pray that it be burned out of my thoughts, that I be relieved of this desire, and be about God's work for me as my first priority with my full devotion. Comments?

It seems clear to me that you can't burn thoughts away. You need to be honest with yourself and acknowledge them for what they are. That doesn't mean you have to act upon them. It simply means you must accept the fact that their are parts of ourselves we cannot control. You can't control everything about your own psyche.

Here's a clear example. I find some women sexually attractive and other women not as attractive. I don't decide how attractive a woman appears to me in the same way I never decided I like vanilla ice cream. I just do and it's just a matter of fact. I can only be a witness of how attracted I am to a woman or not. In other words, I don't control all my thought processes and neither can anyone else. I suggest a similar approach towards your attraction to cross dressing.

An alcoholic can't decide not to desire a drink. But he can decide not to drink.

A desire deemed reproachful or ''sinful'' ought to be acknowledged for what it is. From my experience, any attempt at suppressing thoughts only make them more powerful and a nuisance to your everyday life. You'll be much more at peace with yourself by at least being honest with yourself in your inner and personal life.

That being said, I don't believe cross dressing to be wrong and I have a hard time understanding why you'd restrain yourself if it could make you a happier person. But your religious faith clearly is at odds with this. If not indulging in the act of cross dressing makes you feel better about yourself, then so be it.

Just don't waste time and energy trying to repress thoughts and desires. That will only make your desires more powerful. Accept your desires for what they are and then you can decide how you want to act.

My two cents.

Your problem is that you have allowed people, in the name of 'God', to convince you that you have a disgusting perverted desire.

Some on here continue to do so.

How's that working out for you? Encouraging you to consider suicide, for something that HARMS NOBODY, because they keep repeating that it's disgusting and perverted. Yep, there's a few born-again-christians on this forum who should look at themselves closely before doling out their pity advice and opinions, lest they burn in their own 'hell'.

Stop allowing other people to tell you that you're sick and perverted.
