Ahhhhhhhhh yes. The Cons are back in town............And who are they taking their orders from?

Government House leader Peter Van Loan said details of the fall legislative agenda will be announced on Monday. Referring to the marathon 24-hour vote in June, during which Opposition members tried to make amendments to Bill C-38, Van Loan said he expects another long battle over the upcoming budget bill.

“Will I be surprised if they play parliamentary games and obstruction? No, I won’t be,” Van Loan said in an interview. “I guess we’ll have to deal with that.”

NDP House Leader Nathan Cullen, meanwhile, said that Van Loan has turned down the party's requests to meet with him about the Conservatives' priorities for the fall session.

The Liberal Party warned that the Tories can expect a backlash if the procedure for the second budget bill is similar to that of Bill C-38.

The Fraser Institute and conservative public figures

The institute has also been an incubator for Canada's leading conservative public figures. Ezra Levant, a Sun media television host, columnist and author of Ethical Oil, interned at the Fraser Institute after a fellowship with the Koch Foundation. Levant is now one of the most outspoken proponents of big oil projects in Canada, having given numerous presentations on economics, as well as a special three-part presentation called "Ethical Oil: Ezra Levant and the Case for Canada's Oil Sands."

Former Ethical Oil spokesperson and political commentator Kathryn Marshall was a development associate at the Fraser Institute.
Wildrose leader Danielle Smith interned at the Fraser Institute during her twenties, an experience which “imbued her with a passion for Ayn Rand and charter schools”, according to The Walrus Magazine.

She became an intern with the encouragement of Tom Flanagan, a Fraser Institute senior fellow and Stephen Harper mentor.

The institute's considerable funding from US foundations have stirred no criticism from Ottawa.

Parliament resumed today.

Let the games and bull**** begin!

Games and bull**** aside, I'm glad to see our Parliament sitting again. Now they can get down to the business of running our country in a conservative manner.

From me. I happened to be at a function last night with one of the local MP's (not my riding) and had a good discussion with her and what direction the Cons are going in. Met my local MP last week at church (he visits all religious institutions on a rotating basis when he's home.) Told him he still has my support. Both MP's are Cons.

The people of Canada, who elected them, and by whom they wish to be elected again.

It is called FPTP democracy.

Deal with it.

Your "Deal with it," makes a lot less sense when you realize that the monarchs were telling the same thing to the Americans (for a simple example).

I dealt with it, I left the country and that is a really bittersweet thing to do. I suppose I'll crack open a beer and go for a walk with it to soothe my aching heart.
