Will Monica be in the lectern as Slick Willy, the impeached adulterer and alleged rapist, is speaking?

Do they have an empty chair on stage for some washed up actor to talk to? I heard that's all the rage.

And a few token Canadians who are pretending to be Cuban? They're in style this season, you know.

lol Good point, Niflmir. It appears according to the article that Reps want DOHbama to regulate fuel prices to be affordable. Reps wanting regulation? F'eckin funny.
Or did I miss something?

Beats having them all show up in their individual cars. :D Cuts back on parking issues.

Also, don't they believe in the invisible hand of the market? Isn't the price of gasoline controlled by the supply? Do they expect Obama to magically increase the supply or bottom out the supply curve?

Uh-oh...

Democrats set to move Obama's big speech from 74,000-seater outdoor stadium to 20,000-seater indoor arena

Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’.

The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled.

Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged.

Actually supply and demand is only part of the cost, the biggest factor in the price of crude is market speculation. After refining, it is the supply (supposedly dictated by demand, but supply is routinely "adjusted" by suppliers to create demand. IE, "Summer is coming, tourists will be wanting fuel. Let's increase supply a little bit, but not make it too plentiful or profits will suffer". And then they explain that they simply underestimated the demand).

I'm confused by the OP, do republicans get charged a different price for gasoline?
Price has doubled since the Bamster was inaugurated.

Biggest factors are over-regulation, taxation and the uncertainty of future taxation and regulation all of which is in control of the guvmint.

So, market speculators and suppliers are greedy. The only thing DOHbama can do about fuel prices is by regulation. Thing is, Reps are normally against regulating business. The bulk of taxes is a state issue, not fed.

Dems Remove All References to ‘God’ From 2012 Party Platform

The Democratic Party may be getting a fair amount of attention this week — and not only because the political movement is hosting its national convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Another point of focus has already been the contents — or the lack thereof — present in the 2012 Democratic Party Platform.

Earlier today, we told you that the document fails to mention Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a proclamation that was previously touted by the party. And now, in an even more shocking revelation, CBN News is reporting that the Democrats have removed mentions of “God” from the document as well.

This is a departure from the past. In 2008, the platform read (emphasis added), “We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”

Democratic Platform Gives Obama Credit For Ending The “Global War On Terrorism”…

Everything is all puppy dogs and rainbows thanks to Obama.

The Democratic platform gives President Barack Obama credit for rebranding what President George W. Bush called the “global war on terrorism.”

In a section dealing with defeating al-Qaeda, the platform celebrates the killing of Osama Bin Laden, as well as Obama narrowing the focus of U.S. foreign policy away from fighting all terrorism, to targeting just the terrorist group responsible for 9/11 and its allies:

Importantly, President Obama also shifted away from the Bush administration’s sweeping and internationally-divisive rhetoric of a “global war on terrorism” to a more focused effort against an identifiable network of people: al-Qaeda and its affiliates. That has allowed us to target force with greater precision against those who want to harm Americans and attack the United States and move away from the type of large-scale military deployments characteristic of the previous administration and favored by many Republicans today.

Ending the “GWOT” has been a longtime personal crusade of Vice President Joe Biden, and a longtime goal of many foreign policy hands who viewed it as too easy to interpret — or distort — as a war on Islam. President Obama has long avoided the phrase but has not particularly trumpeted the change, which is an easy target for his hawkish critics.
