That's not the way you put it.hehe Now you think people think climate change causes blight? wow

Yep, too much rain can cause potato blight and "global warming" according to some goes hand in hand with increased precipitation.

Any sensible person believes in climate change, what they don't believe in is that it is a new thing!

Apparently, the Egyptians knew the world was round!

Thats because they didn't ask the pope before they did the math.

Damngrumpy. There is a couple of things. One the multinationals have largely fitted into the two percent. Two nothing other than more profit can convince them to profit from the opportunities arising from the need to fight agw. People are different. They can change their minds. I think it is a mistake to give credit to the corporations for the sea change of public opinion.

What makes you think The world is changing like it has forever? It has been shown by science that the climate is changing and is going to change faster than it has in the evidence for any other period. So seriously, what makes you think that this change isn't any different?

Npoe. It has been shown by truthers that we are responsible so they can collect big time on carbon credits. Most of us know the earth is constantly warming and cooling.

Shhhhhh, don't tell him that.

Then he can blame his cancer on unions.

Unions cause cancer? I thought they just caused lazy and sloppy workers.

I don't know what people think they think but it can lead to crop blight, disease and other groth problems. Agriculture developed in a relatively stable climate regime. That has gone.

You'd have a rough go of it if you had to make it through life on your own without the benefit of the knowledgable.

I take it from reading the posts like this one from you, that people that tell the truth are put down, have BS spread about them, and are considered ignorant. That must be a very handy outlook to have on the world if thinking is difficult.

The major difference between what "most of us know" and what the scientists are telling us is that the climate is changing faster now, and will continue to change faster for the next hundred years and more, than it has in any other evidence for any other period of time, on Earth. Help me out here, what evidence do you have that negates that.

A repeating cycle that ends in ice age.

I take it you think putting down, and spreading BS about dissenters of the AGW extremism, isn't ignorant?

Funny I was thinking the same thing.

About the AGW crowd that want extreme change, without making sure that change won't completely destroy peoples lives.

When worrying about the future, you can't ignore the present.

Those of us who don't know don't need evidence that negates it. You've made a statement that says global warming is escalating........prove it. Climate is continuously changing and has for 4 billion years. While man can have an impact on things he don't hold a candle to Mother Nature!

A repeating cycle that ends in ice age.

You bet!

The so called climate scientists are using computer models that they created to project future climate change. Like anything done by a computer "Garbage in, Garbage OUT"
The greenies tried this BS with logging for the past 20 years telling us we would run out of timber. Well I am working in a fine stand of second growth fir and hemlock mix that will be replanted again when we are done. All surrounded by a nice crop of THIRD growth.
None of us are saying that we shouldn't clean up our $hit (except a few rich in Victoria that think they are special)but we must not destroy the economy as we do it or the consequences will be much more dire than a little temporary warming.
The one thing about global warming is that the rich cannot buy their way out of this one. In fact the poor for the most part will be able to adapt much better than the rich because they are used to adapting.

Like anything done by a computer? What about those circumstances where, as in this case, it is not garbage in?

The greenies tried this BS with logging for the past 20 years telling us we would run out of timber. Well I am working in a fine stand of second growth fir and hemlock mix that will be replanted again when we are done. All surrounded by a nice crop of THIRD growth.

The overlogging debate has been going on for a lot more than 20 years. Was your second growth logging area planted or a natural recovery? If the debate hadn't taken place, and if the greenies hadn't won, we would be in a lot worse situ8ation than we are in now.

None of us are saying that we shouldn't clean up our $hit (except a few rich in Victoria that think they are special)but we must not destroy the economy as we do it or the consequences will be much more dire than a little temporary warming.

A significant part of the argument from economists, scientists, environmentalists, and even the insurance industry, is that we are really going to wreck the economy/ecosystem is we don't stop the rapid growth of carbon dioxide from fossil fuels in the air.

The one thing about global warming is that the rich cannot buy their way out of this one. In fact the poor for the most part will be able to adapt much better than the rich because they are used to adapting.

That is a hopeful but misguided opinion. The poor are already dying of malnutrition, lack of drinking water, and other factors that are going to be exacerbated by climate change. The rich are just getting richer.
