40+ means failed at life? Maybe. However, why did he fail? Refugee from a war zone suffering from PTSD? Childhood abuse, psychological problems, traumatic life experience (death of child, wife etc.), etc. etc. etc.

Unless you know how he ended up where he is now, what's your point? Would you rather him on social security or working? So not only is he paid a pittence, but then he has to put up with your crap.

What the fukk is with some of the fukktards on this forum.. "Put up with my crap.." geez asking for no lettuce, wow. I guess those Liberal Jar Heads just want to get paid for standing around doing nothing.. God forbid someone makes them work..

Would I rather see them on social security, no.. but there are jobs for the mentally handicap, such as putting screws into packages, or other assembly line work that won't strain their fragile little brains or ego's.

I guess the old adage is true; "if you can;t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen." In this case McDee's kitchen.

Are you a loser for working at McDonald's .....?

If under 24 or over 64, no.

in between...unless in management...it's a gray area depending on your circumstance. There is my last word on the topic.

When I was in Calgary I sensed that anyone with a pulse would get hired at a restaurant. The service staff at all that I went to were luckluster at best.

The boom- They get fired from a dead end job and walk out the door- down the street- hired again.
I recall reading about a guy with a small company - he stated this young fellow was always taking 1 workday off - sick whatever- He also clarified when asked why not fire him- His reply was clear and had sense- Then I would be short a guy 5 days a week instead of 1 day a week. Not hard to figure out.

Yeah, I know it doesn't take much brain power, or really much of anything to get hired at McDonalds, or any other fast food restaurant around Calgary.. pretty much any dumb ass can do the job.

I'm not sure how good these situations are where "the tail gets to wag the dog"! In the long run I see 'bedlam'!

You do that kind of sh*t after dark! Not too bright!

Intelligence is just one dimension of a job like that, patience and perseverence are also required in large doses!

A WAKE UP CALL FOR YOU - No one is a loser who will go out and take whatever work is available to prevent him/herself from being a burden on the public purse. There is much more to a job than the wage it pays, there's the skills and knowledge learned, there is the people you come in contact with (employers and C.E.O.s eat at Big Macs too) A person who has good long record at Big Macs can probably move up to White Spot or Dennys much easier.

I can't fathom raising such a judgemental stink about something that you wouldn't even be able to tell they did if they took it out of your sight, handed it back two minutes later, and told you it was new. it's not like they were trying to remove the swiss cheese, or scrape off a condiment. it's freaking lettuce.

I hope you enjoyed your time of being better than those who serve you. Must have made you feel really big to wave your authority about so. No wonder you were so frustrated at their refusal to respect your position as their better.

Hey, it's not my fault they are too stupid to take an order correctly. I am paying for something, I expect it done correctly.

As I said, it's seems the Liberals find it just horrid I make those poor little losers work for their $6 hr.

Liberal ideology something for nothing... I guess that is why Ontario's economy is in such great shape.;)

How much effort would you put into a $6/hr job?

Worked for that in Texas.. received a letter of achievement for going out of my way for the customer..

Maybe a different mindset that I take pride in my job and try to do the best I can, as well as go out of the way for the customer..

Guess that is why when I quit a job, I can go back and get hired immediately..

It's called work ethics..

I think Canada needs to do like Germany and send all youth to the military for 6 months. I bet you they would have better work ethics and maybe be able to land a better job.. just say'in.

Didn't answer my question. Would you work harder for a $20/hr job than the $6/hr job?
