While I do not like foreigners on a panel deciding Canadian policy as a rule, there might
be some validity in this case. Canada does a huge trade in foreigners coming here to
hunt and fish and if input were on that basis I don't have a problem with it. If its for any
other purpose, like deciding on fish and wildlife issues to help decide where roads and
pipelines go that is entirely different.
There is a bright spot here perhaps. Maybe Harper can have these panelists go on a
hunting trip into the far north and invite Dick Chaney along for the trip that might take care
of a lot problems we have. Especially if fences and rifles are involved.

If it's not acceptable to have foreign interests trying to guide our environmental policies, then it's not acceptable to have foreign interests trying to guide our hunting policies.

That's the fun thing about Harper and Co; they get caught up in their own net of rules and proclamations.

Actually, no.

I probably should be........

Although I am not a waterfowl hunter.
Deer and moose drink and eat from those nice, cozy and clean DU wetlands.

It's only $35 a year

So it's bad to include land conseravators/owners who gear towards keeping lands open to public use and manage the wildlife?

Good thing they never asked Nazi groups like WWF who buys land and keep the public at bay.

Something tells me you like them just because they're now Harper endorsed.

Could you imagine if Greenpeace were on that list?

Nope. I was going to expand on that this morning but I had to go to work. Don't know much about TIDES since I never had a run in with them. Ducks unlimited gets support from us because they put their money where their mouths are. They want a swamp protected they go out and buy it and pay the taxes. Unlike the rest of the eco weenies that insist that the government MUST save their cause du jour on the taxpayer's dollar. Now the reason I like what ducks unlimited does is because they have bought some estuary lands which protects them from development .These estuaries are essential for salmon smolts and other fish to grow in which protects fishing jobs as well as grisly hunting and fishing guides.
Greenpeace is a whole different story. When they started out protesting nuclear weapons and stupid wars was one thing but when the leadership turned it into a well paying career for them selves it changed. Coincidently this was around the time Pat Moore left to raise fish in his fathers logging camp.

The Harper gov't sad it was bad to have foreign money funding Canadian charities/non-profits?

Am I really going to have to explain the monumental differences between DU or SCI and the likes of this?

And the Fraser Institute has received more than $500,000 from Koch Corp in the last few years. That does not count, though? After all it is a Harper friendly Institute and the Koch Brothers are benefactors of all "Right" thinking people.

This government is getting creepier and creepier.

First it came for the the opposition.
Next it came for women's organisations.
Next it came for Canadian citizens abroad.
Next it came for environmentalists.
When will it come for you?

Your posts are getting dumber and dumber.

I guess my questions to Ten Penny, were equally to hard for you to answer. So instead we get more silly Nazi-esque nonsense from the Usual Suspects newest recruit.
