DU does.
It happened a few years ago,but when i googled for the story,i found this TWO PETA EMPLOYEES ARRESTED FOR CRUELTY: CAUGHT DUMPING DOGS THEYReally? When was this?
DU is Tides? What agenda? Sustainable management/developement of wetlands and waterfowl? So you're saying that Tides involvement goes against this government's agenda?

Center for Consumer Freedom – PETA Employees Face 31 Felony Animal-Cruelty Charges for Killing, Dumping Dogs
That sucks.
I would normally give a company the benefit of the doubt for a couple of douchebags spoiling their reputation, but PETA has a pretty long history of obscene tactics which compromise their own mission.
Like those other nutcases "ELF" if i got the correct gang, which to protest agaisnt evil polluting vehicles, burned all the SUVs in a dealership lot, yeah way to go.
By culling do you mean killing them and throw them away,or kill them and feed people? The number one killer of birds by a very wide margin is cats. Cats do provide for some jobs in the Pet foo industry and in keeping vets solvent. However, they are a net consumer of resources that could be better deployed in culling Canada Geese in areas where they are a nuisance. Cats also kill large numbers of mice and chipmunks and area source of fleas that irritate humans.
Stop the insanity that keeps this environmental nuisance in almost every home.
If this works fine in some european countries,it would work here. The fact is, though, that the kill through turbines is exaggerated for effect by the anti-environmentalists. There is loss but does that outweigh the benefits? There is even evidence that offshore turbines have the little impact: that seabirds are adept at avoiding them and that they are a net benefit to wildlife in providing a new ecosystem for the habitat of marine life.
Did anyone gripe when Manitoba NDP govt hired a Ducks Unlimited engineer to consult for them?
On a slightly nerdier note.. that reminds me of this episode of Star Trek I watched recently.. where they found that warp drive technology was causing rifts in space (which is basically bad for everyone). An activist who couldn't wait for the research to confirm the hypothesis decided to overshoot the warp drive engine and blow up her ship. That caused a huge rift which basically proved the theory true, but in the process, caused a whole bunch of harm.
At the end of the episode it was decided that ships would have to "go slower" in some parts of space to mitigate upcoming rifts. They even said "climate change" in this episode.
You guys would've loved it.
Are you a member too?Within a 30 minute drive from me there are two wetlands areas that Ducks Unlimited have improved and protected.
I am unaware if the actual power lines have exposed portions that would electrocute a bird, but I do believe that the large blades can kill birds/bats that fly into them.
So what's wrong with OPM? Beats spending our own. lolSpeaking of hypocrisy..
