What makes somebody suitable for pushing a wheelbarrow?
A good measure of bull strength and ignorance. LOL
If that's your final answer, Alex, I'll leave it at that.
Good - I hope you benefit from the enlightenment. LOL

No, but I do know that you have a general opinion about what the government is responsible for doing because.. well.. because...
Two things.............enacting legislation and some "watchdog" duties.
How about enacting beneficial legislation and credible watchdog duties.
That part is up to you, to vote for the ones that will do that!
I was a licensed welder/fitter, certified explosives handler, first aider, mine rescue, heavy equipment operator. With training in PLC programming, electrical/electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics and heavy equipment repair.I don't necessarily disagree with that, but it depends on how much the difference is, the qualifications of the person, and the category of employment that they are referred.
There are no bad jobs if you aren't full of yourself. That's primarily why we are having this discussion about what qualifies "suitable employment" for EI members wanting to get back into the workforce. It's more complex than the conservatives are painting it to be, like "there are no bad jobs" (except public service jobs according to them, lol).
I was working on a career path, I took an almost $40,000 pay cut, and packed cosmetics while I looked for better work.It would have to be the same job or something similar as I'm working on particular career path. If I had scant options, I would accept up to 5K less in pay.
I hope it's nothing like your definition. No, that's my opinion of what suitable employment would be. I would like to know what the government dictates is suitable employment, but we haven't received any definition yet.
Why not? That's easy for your son, who's used to working in that kind of volatile environment. You can't expect the same degree of flexibility for someone who works in a highly specialized field.
And elitest arguments are better why? That's why the government needs to clarify what these measures are instead of relying on "joe blow" arguments of who deserves what.
The last time I was out of work, I sold contraband smokes. I still do actually. I just don't deal in the same volume.I know a few people dealing a little dope to pay the bills a call centre/fast-food wage doesn't cover. Is that a bad job?
It all depends on how hungry you are. They have to define suitable employment.
I hope they don't use your definition. They have to define suitable employment.
