Which is total garbage! It is asinine to make that statement.
While I appreciate your specific situation and experience, that doesn't really "prove" something on a macroscopic scale.

200lbs of beer and Pepsi fat because basic foods were free.I saw a news report recently on a food bank. The woman they interviewed was over weight AND receiving free food. Oh gosh... the horror!

OK. How many Canadians die each year of starvation?

A better question - what would be an acceptable amount of Canadians dying each year of starvation?
How many Canadians die each year from starvation?
As a "pea soup" (no offence intended) you know full well that super cheap legumes can meet all your protein needs without any meat. Eating good food is by far the cheapest food because it's not in demand like crap food is. I know damn well that if the **** ever hits the fan and I have to do what it takes I'm going to be eating buckwheat (millet) cabbage rolls to give me the enegy I need to work without eating meat. Carbs and fat are easy to come by, proteins are what matter.
We already know you're not entitled to co-operate in this discussion.

If we are truly spending billions on food for developing nations, I propose we cease that and use it to feed our poor.
ZeroI just want clarification on the question as I have no idea how many die of hunger.
I dunno DD.. A move like that may spark a damning report by the UN on Canada's overseas commitments.
Why do you ask?
It is a valid question in this thread.
