The burning question is, who is "they"? Anyone in official party capacity?

Elections Canada faces 31,000 complaints in robo-call probe - The Globe and Mail
Elections Canada has been deluged by 31,000 complaints in relation to last year’s ballot, focused mainly on robo-calls and other harassing phone calls.

The non-partisan agency received 500 complaints in relation to the previous election in 2008, and 329 in relation to the 2006 ballot.
Sloppy work by ‘Pierre Poutine’ leaves lengthy trail for robo-call sleuth - The Globe and Mail

Pierre Poutine” was not the most sophisticated scammer.

Fraudulent robo-callers usually cover their tracks, but whoever is hiding behind the now-infamous alias has left an electronic and paper trail for Elections Canada investigators to follow, all the way to a credit card used to spread false information in the last election, sources say.

Liberals build their case in robo-call scandal as Tory attack backfires - The Globe and Mail

The opposition Liberals are assembling a database of allegedly fraudulent phone calls to electors – what they call a body of evidence against the Harper Conservatives – as the governing Tories struggle to beat back accusations they were behind attempts to suppress votes in the 2011 ballot.

31,000.. hmm.. I can see how the opposition will use this number to their advantage.

I would hazard a guess that some people are cursing like a sailor to say the least. The pressure will only increase. Harper sewed up royally in QP - Now I am sure that having their bogus info thrown right back at them set him afire.

I doubt it.

It's not as if people like fuzzy are rare, or exclusive to the left.

Sounds like someone went off the res. Not a concerted, orchestrated CPC campaign.

Rae is really pushing on this one..

Canada has entered “uncharted waters” as it confronts an unprecedented number of complaints about potentially fraudulent robocalls during last year’s federal election, according to interim Liberal leader Boob Rae.

“We’re now in uncharted waters as far as the history of the country is concerned,” Mr. Rae told reporters on Friday.

“I don’t think any of us ever anticipated seeing something on this scale, and I’ve been elected 11 times, so I’ve been through quite a lot in terms of various forms of chicanery.”

Well that is Bob Rae.

As I mentioned an Inquiry would hold all the parties accountable as they all pull shxt. And an Inquiry will burn them all. Sounds good to me.

The sanest comment I have yet seen in print:

For those just joining us now, last Wednesday, the Postmedia team broke a story revealing that during the 2011 federal election, a national call centre under Conservative employ sent misleading robocalls to hapless voters in the riding of incumbent Liberal MP Frank Valeriote. "Clank clank, Go vote at the crappy mall with bad parking," said the robots. But then when the voters got there... there was no voting to be found!
Aaand scene. That's literally all we know about the scandal right now, which means it's an incredibly exciting time for the nation's political commentators, who will never again enjoy such a vacuum of ambiguity just begging to be filled with their wildest partisan fantasies. Most of these wistful dreams, in turn, center around the premise that since at least one species of deceptive robocall allegedly had some manner of Tory approval, wouldn't it be awesome if all the other deceptive -- or even just annoying -- robocalls that apparently plagued the last election were part of some large Conservative conspiracy, too?
Warren Kinsella wastes little time reaching for the big guns, in this case, the r-word. "If senior people within the Conservative Party of Canada conspired to rig the May 2011 election, what are the consequences?" he asks. I imagine they'd be pretty severe, Warren. And if senior aunts within the Conservative Party of Canada were men, I imagine they'd be uncles. But that's the fun of "if."

J.J. McCullough: The Media's Pre-Programmed Response to Robocalls

Read it, and remember, Elections Canada has actually gotten enough credible complaints to launch an investigation in TWO ridings....

That's TWO, as in ONE......TWO.

Harper is perfectly correct....the entire thing is a smear.

So far.

Which part did you find funny? The part where an NDP MP defamed a company? That the taxpayer will have to foot the bill if he's successfully sued?

I was reading a comment from the article where someone said the Cons would be funding Racknine's lawsuit. I thought you were joking about the same thing.

And we will wait for the info from that call center whose staff reported these bogus calls to Elections Canada and the RCMP - both depts took no action. Wonder what they will have to say abut the nature of the complaints. All calls to the RCMP are recorded. HHMMMM
Wonder if the tapes will disappear.

Also read Andrew Coynes article - I posted it in this thread, if you wonder why people think it is mostly Cons, that should provide you some insight as to why.

With conclusions now firmly established, in the weeks to follow pundits will have to begin the less glamorous business of assembling actual evidence to support their case.
LOL, oh so true.

Is that like how you are damned sure the CPC is guilty? A lot of hot air, blown out by a dittohead?

So win or loose we get to pay?
No, people like fuzzy run on anything they think can bolster their hapless partisan BS.

Probably payback for the attack ads, lol
Whose attack ads? Or are you one of those deluded fools that think the CPC started them, before the Liberals?

Wait until Prime Contact gets a hold of Del Mastro. Then it will be even funnier.
What defaming comment did Del Mastro make about Prime Contact?

I said there was no smoking gun.

What defaming comment did Del Mastro make about Prime Contact?

He said they were hired by the Liberals to make harassing calls to voters.

Whose attack ads? Or are you one of those deluded fools that think the CPC started them, before the Liberals famous "Armed Soldiers on Canadian city street corners"?

Relax.

Completely negated by the quotes, I previously fed you.

He said they were hired by the Liberals to make harassing calls to voters.
No, he said the North Dakota number, belonged to the company the Liberals hired.

Ah yes, the patented fuzzy "you must be upset", because fuzzy's getting served.

The funny thing is, the only one of us that has ever had a meltdown out here, is you.

Shall we take a walk down memory barrel, errrr, lane?
