That all makes sense to me but to over 40% of the US population on some form of a "Free Money" entitlement program it probably won't happen during this campaign. We are literally destroying ourselves from the inside with the Foreign Aid, Grants for Congressional favorite investors, Hand outs and actually praising many who contribute nothing but economic stress on the nation. Jobs? They are out there. Not at executive levels but here are jobs out there.

Could you exist on minimum wage? When you factor in the cost of having a job - clothes, travel, lunches, etc. - you probably make more staying home on welfare.

You can live a comfortable life on welfare if you know how to use the system and milk it for all it is worth. Massachusetts EBT (Welfare Cards) are being used all over the country including Hawaii as welfare recipients head off to vacation. Free Healthcare, Free or subsidized food, housing, clothing, computers, cell phones (with FREE minutes every month... if you go over no need to worry the state will pick up the balance), internet data packages.... plus some spending money for flat screens and kick azz Air Jordans.

Man, you don't get that in Canada. Maybe we should send you guys all our welfare recipients. I'm sure they will all volunteer when they hear about those benefits,

Aside from his stupidly crazy economic libertarianism and views on abortion, I would agree on the Republican side.

I would love to see R.P elected. This guy has the right idea. Get government out of our lives. The original used and function of government was to govern and regulate trade and commerce. All taxes and costs of running the govt were derived from trade and commerce. Governing the people was left in the local community where it belonged. I wish we had a guy like R.P running Canada.

It is their right and they are entitled to have those things.

I forgot to add free cars and insurance for some who qualify in Massachusetts.

Wow, and everyone says we live in a welfare state.

I bust my azz working 40hours a week, I've never seen Hawaii except on a travel brochure.

Ridiculous.

Oh God don't have the local governments running our lives, there are so many little groups of
right wing religious people who would manipulate the system to the nth degree. I agree that the
government needs to back off in some areas. I also agree that regulations need to be tightened
up and strengthened to prevent what happened in 2008.
Ron Paul is a funny and dangerous little man with warped ideas, as most of the Libertarian agenda
is. Trade and commerce is one thing but we have a social structure that is good it just need some of
the wrinkles ironed out. Ron Paul is like the rest of these Republican misfits running this time.
Romney is no leader, Ron Paul is like a tourist, and Santorum and Newt are religious nut cases that
would lead America into a social and economic hell. They would destroy that country faster than
any outside force ever could.

I like the idea of bring all the troops back to the USA and closing bases. Put the troops on the Southern Border.

Cutting back the government, Obamacare should be scraped. They have Medicare and Medicaid, it just needs to be streamlined to better control red tape and fraud. Only certain hospitals and doctors get to take Medicare and Medicaid.

There are plenty of things I like about his agenda.. It's amazing, people call Ron Paul and Bill Maher as Libertarian, yet both are sorta on the opposite ends of the pole.

There are lots of things I agree with from Bill Maher too.. maybe that makes me a Libertarian. lol

Its frustrating to watch North America right now.

It feels like a huge train reck happening in slow motion.
The check valve that's supposed to help us deal with
this kind of situation is powerless against the inevitable outcome.
There's nothing anyone can do. Everything is on rails.
The finances system is totally broken, It needs a huge overhaul.

Even if Ron Paul won the presidency.
He still would be powerless to stop what's coming.

I think we need to sit down, invite some heavy think tanks sit down &
have some serious debate on how we need to evolve, as a community.
Things have changed & we need to change if we hope to Survive and prosper
In today's world.

The ONLY way that things will radically change is to have some form of a Revolution, rewrite the entire Constitution and absolutely forbid the government to do certain things.

No Court can "interpret the Constitutions meaning", other than by using the common meanings of the actual words in it. No "implied" rights can be found by any court. No court can declare anything mentioned in the Constitution as being Unconstitutional.

Taxation must be approved by a 2/3 majority vote of both house of the Congress, except when a state of war has been declared by the Congress.

No State can ever impose any tax that exceeds 15% of the income of any resident.

All powers not VERY specifically granted to the Federal Government are to be only utilized by the individual states.
