As I recall Rae handed in his walking papers after Svend Robinson started making unfounded accusations against Israel in regard to the so called "Jenin Massacre."
I think he even wrote an open letter saying that the NDP no longer represented his values.
I'll see if I can track down that open letter.

You don't have to prove anything to me. I know there were some mutual hard feelings between Rae and the party. Whether he walked away of his own accord or was asked to do so doesn't really matter.

After I ate I did. I've been to rallies and events for every major party. The Liberals seem to be the most self obsessed ones.
Even if they never recover I'd say they deserve more than a footnote in our history.
Contracting out and consulting equates to “You Get What You Pay For And Less”
Most contractors and consultants do slower work; cut corners, seldom finish on time, which inflates the cost of the original project.
In the contracting and consulting business cost overruns seems to be the norm.
In-house labour gives more efficient work force, better quality of work, more control and getting the project finished within the budget on time.
In-House labour will give better quality that will last as long as it is supposed to instead of breaking down before it's time.
We also cannot forget that contracting out and consulting projects usually end up in the inner circle of friends of the decision makers.
