If one of the present four Republicans won the election, the world will be the loser.
We would face a dark ages never mind an ice age. I personally have never seen
such a collection of misfits. We have two out there talking about social issues that
deal more with the spiritual realm rather than practical down to earth serious issues.
Mit here is a so called mainstream Republican, and if that is true we are going to see
the middle class get more kicks in the butt, and more unemployment than we have
seen with Obama. Actually the unemployment picture is improving, and it has a long
way to go thanks to the Republicans who created the mess in the first place.
Ron Paul is out to lunch but at least he is sincere about his beliefs. We have a group
of pandering self serving folks who don't understand the American people let alone the
situation the country is really in.
I'll disagree with you slightly: the world survived 8 yrs of G.W. Bush, thus it would likely survive these guys, especially Romney.
Santorum, through his own statements, has neutered himself with the Republicans in Congress: if he were to be elected, he would become a figure head to their agenda.
Romney, I pretty much agree with you. He is the closest thing to a "compassionate conservative" and he's the corporate raider tycoon. I do think he is the most pragmatic of the lot though.
Gingrich, I don't see how this old sleeze bag got this far, never mind how he is still in the mix.
Paul, I will disagree on perhaps the most. He's not a self-serving panderer and he doesn't appear to be the racist scumbag his son is; he just is too much the idealist stuck on a utopian view of how he thinks the founders of the US wanted things. He hasn't compensated in that view for how the world has evolved (and often appears not to understand it). In many ways he is the most admirable of the bunch, but with his limitations, possibly the most dangerous.
