He had it right, just not supposed to SAY IT!! 8O

And, he apologized, but got himself a lot of camera time too. He should , just MHO, rid himself of that beard/stash thingy. And maybe shut up a bit more.

Enough to show the arrogance written all over his face!

Is that what it is? I thought it was some stupid little beard. ;)

Someone needs to teach that boy how to shave because that look is not working for him.

It shorts out the servers.

Hmmm, that would also mean it could possibly result in the the odd 'accidental' eletrocution too.

Not that I'm suggesting anything. ;)

Maybe the Liberals aren't all that serious about trying to get back in power!

Tell me which is scummy and which is a bit hot headed.

Tories choose to defend the indefensible in Cotler ruling | Full Comment | National Post

Speaker Andrew Scheer delivered his ruling Tuesday on the Conservative Party’s attempts to undermine Irwin Cotler in his riding of Mont Royal. The ruling referred to the organized telephone program conducted on behalf of the Conservatives, which left the impression Cotler might be leaving politics in the near future (opening the seat for a possible Tory win). This ruling certainly highlights the fine line between right and wrong in modern Canadian politics.

Common sense tells Canadians that what the Conservatives did was wrong. Common sense says that they had an opportunity to admit the wrong and move on, but they blew that opportunity.

No one except perhaps Tory House leader Peter Van loan believes the Conservative defensive talk point that this is about free speech.

When this story broke the Conservative’s had three options:

Admit someone did it without authorization and throw that person under the bus.

Admit someone did it and that it was wrong and a dumb thing to do.

Stand and defend the indefensible

There are lots of people on this forum who don't hesitate to say 'fuk off', so I don't know why anyone is upset when a politician does similar.

That said, I find politicians who are children of politicians are generally useless, Paul Martin one exception.

I think they are flailing about worse than the NDP is right now. Now the NDP I can understand, they literally lost the guy who led them to an unprecedented position that they were undoutedly unprepared for. All the Liberals did was lose an election.

This is not a good thing for the country. Now, I am not anti-CPC by any stretch of the imagination, but we get the best results from a ruling government (be it majority or minority) and a strong opposition. We just don't have that now. That's my two cents.

I didn't think we riff raff are held to the same standards and for the same money they are being paid I could be persuaded to desist such "gutter talk".

And children of non politicians too!

I'm inclined to think a minority is better, at least during times like now when no party is particularly competent.

After he stabbed Chretien in the back - Ran around the country like the Magical Elf promising money to any and everyone.

As Finance Minister - kept on cutting support for troops that were in a War Zone.

And not liking Chretien he did not take shxt. I love this.

The first thing that endeared P. Trudeau to me was his fuddle duddle remark in parliament and that he was unapologetic about it. Most politicians should be told that on a regular basis because they are all dick wads. I can understand anybody losing their cool in that mad house and Justine was very gracious in his apology (even though, if it was I, I would not have). This government in the antithesis of democracy and deserves all the expletive that can be thrown at it, so, up yours all who support the pricks.

Ya, that's because he was to much of a coward to admit he said it, lol.

I love the Trudeaumaniacs, any history is great, so long as it paints PET as a hero. It doesn't matter if it's true at all.

The man was no hero of mine. He did do a few things I liked but he did just as many I didn't. I had to chuckle at him returning the finger to the Salmon Arm bunch who were giving it to him. And the stunt where, after Nixon tried to tell to tow the line, he jumped in a plane and went to Russia and made some trade deals as an F off to Nixon, that was priceless. I don't think he was great but he was no worse than any that followed. I ran into him in Nelson one day walking down the street. As I passed by I said, "How are you doing Pierre?" He smiled ans said, "Fine thank you". Just a regular guy that was put on a pedastle by some and, of course, fell off.

House Leader Peter Van Loan agreed that the outbursts came near the end of a busy fall session.

"There are some who are frustrated, and I understand that. Particularly for Mr. Trudeau and the opposition Liberals, who've had a very difficult time adjusting to their third-party status."

He added that with the NDP enjoying second-party status, the opposition was initially focused on policy questions instead of headline-grabbing issues.

"That's begun to slide. And they've sort of gone back to what the Liberals did before the last election: running around chasing what they think might be a scandal."

uhuh
