Actually being members of the public they had every right to be on public land.
Absolutely ....................for the time it takes to deliver their message, but not to go tying it up if other people wish to use it!

Therein lies the problem. They are entitled to use it for as long as they remain partial owners or basically forever. For example, if you go to a public beach and your favorite spot is taken you don't get to tell the people in it to move after lunch, you don't get to reserve the spot for tomorrow, you have to get there early or wait until that spot is empty. There is no 'its my turn' when it comes to public land or property. You may think there should be or want there to be but that is not how it is framed in the US constitution or the Canadian Charter.
There is more than the letter of the law at play here, it has a lot to do with establishing credibility and so far what they've mostly done is piss people off!
Can I ask what exactly they have done to piss you off?
While we are at it can I ask you if you agree that the banks are corrupt and own the politicians who are in turn corrupt? Do you believe corporatism is a good thing?
The G8-G20 protests in Toronto, you could see nike swooshes on the shoes of the supposed anarchists that were tipping cars etc. everybody knows a real anarchist wouldn't wear nike. all of them were 6'4 240 too. It was an obvious police attempt to stir the shyte pot and shut things down. .
Anarchists all use homespun clothes and cobble their own footwear?
You would think all the taxpayer subsided training they get would include some anger-management classes. Perhaps some victim sensitivity training at the same time, that way they would treat the protesters in the proper light, as used and abused citizens.Yep, we hear a lot about police brutality and there is no doubt quite a few of them are pretty brutal, but the majority are just trying to do their job in a professional manner and honestly for a normal person there is only so much sh*t they can take or be expected to take and being spat on, sworn at and called "pigs" shouldn't be part of it. They are not all like Mantler.
You forgot having their Lear-jet fueled up an ready.Anarchists all use homespun clothes and cobble their own footwear?
They are against corporations. They would never wear something made in malaysia. I'm not an anarchist though, don't take my word for it, find one and ask them.
The point is that decades of protest has got us nowhere with the establishment. It was decided to try a new tactic and that is to disrupt the flow, to cut off the supply the fat cats rely on - Wall Street. It is not so much a message. It is about disruption, hurt the pricks where it hurts most, their pocket books. What would really hurt more though, would be to shut down the system altogether: a general strike and a stop all shopping except for absolute necessities. They would have no choice but to listen. Do you think that would be doable? I doubt it after the display of stupidity on Black Friday and the fact that most people can't tell the difference between want and need..
Yup! The rich are rich because the rest are stupid. You just said it better than I ever could. Quit borrowing at high interest, quit spending money on cosmetic features, buy the Chev Biscayne, leave the Cadillacs in the showroom, anyway you know the procedure. I've said it a million times, the fat cats are NOT hurting anyone earning minimum wage or drawing welfare.

Another quote for the books. The fat cats are as they are because WE allow it.
The key is to do like hubby and I do. Invest like the rich do, and budget like you're poor. The result is a comfortable life right now, and at 32 years old, more in RRSP's, savings, and investments, than my parents will be retiring with in two years.

Anybody ever do a study to see how much more inexpensive it would be for both groups if shipping and delivery costs were eliminated?Thrift shops and UNICEF. After the West gets done wearing them we send them back via the Goodwill.
