I think the Government has got bigger problems and let's look at it this way. In Vancouver the Indian Community has arranged marriages all the time and when things don't work out the send them to India to be disappeared. Then we've got the whole Sharia Law honour killing bullcrap to deal with. You know, walk ten feet behind me, put on this bee keeper outfit and if you talk back to me your going into a canal with your car. Then we have these weiners who say they are all about God, but really they're just all about having sex with kids.

While I don't care if you have one wife two husbands or if your into swinging or swapping.

I really think that once you open this flood gate you are going to be swamped with all sorts of charter challenges

I've never been a polygamist and honestly only take my cues from BIG LOVE, but I think what you are saying here actually applies in some communities.

And yes, it's my opinion that cheating is something done behind your partner's back. I don't quite get why anyone would view it any other way. If your partner consents to relations outside of yours, it's honest and in the open. Cheating may be what someone else calls it because they can't wrap their own minds around you being okay with it, but that doesn't MAKE it cheating.



I doubt it. DeBeers stands to profit hugely from the idea that love is available only to one soul mate, and that you ought to spend every possible cent making your life with that person something out of a Disney movie. I doubt a polygamist would be spending 3 months wages per partner. lol.

An adult man can't marry a 14 year old in Canada right now, you need a system like Bountiful to do it and that has been made illegal. It can no longer be gussied up as freedom of religon to marry 14 year olds. This was a good decision.

I don't think that has much clout in a place like bountifull, they can put whatever they want on paper,
and deny anyone was 14 when they married.

The nuclear family is dysfunctional. It is an unnatural arrangement. We are essentially tribal beings (extended families). Nuclear families were unheard of before the industrial revolution.
