Was WWII about what we were told it was about?

I've said this before, I have a lot of friends who are "consumers" of mental health services. One is a lady who happens to be a native elder with MS. One day she says to me, "I love being insane. I can get away with anything!"
Insanity has been described as someone who does not accept the commonly held view of what is real. That is me. That is why I say I embrace my insanity. In my world we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. Physical is not what we really are or who we are. Our physical body is just a costume we wear to act in this drama we call life. I've decided I prefer to act in a comedy, The Ministry of Silly Walks. It is a hell of a lot more fun than what I was told life was supposed to be about.

The recording and the analyzing of the recordings are what the historian does. The historian can come up with totally incorrect conclusions and sometimes does. When new information about a person, place or event comes to light, the history changes. Yes, a certain series of events certainly did happen. But in some cases its impossible to uncover what those events were exactly. Not so much for the past 1-3 hundred years as we were better at recording things. But if you were to look at say, the fall of the Roman Empire or the dark ages in general, I see no end in sight in the debates on these subjects. They've been going on for centuries and we are constantly finding new things with archaeology but I doubt we'll find a 100% certainty on what happened at the time. Should we stop looking? No. If for nothing else keep looking because its fun. I'm a history major, I need something to do.

Congrats on doing history.......it has always been my intellectual passion......I had 75 hours of history in my undergraduate degree........fascinating stuff.

Where in the OP is the word jew even mentioned ? Halocaust ? Why in hell does the very mention of WW II drive some people to the defence of the poor jew.I'm not saying it didn't happen,I will say I find the numbers suspect and the last thing I'll say is I'm damn sick of hearing about it.Same thing with 9 11,that card is going to get played,when convienient, for fn ever.
While I don't believe in dwelling on any tragedy, I don't think we should just forget about the holocaust in that it was real and the same type of heinous bastards are still running rampant in the world today who are capable of the same or worse. (if there can be worse).

So you believe that the war was pointless in that it did not eliminate those same heinous bastards it has bragged about removing ever since that phoney war ended? Those identical heinous bastards actually continue to run the same war without end long ago having stitched the conflicts together into seamless revenue streams of death and destruction.

You wrote what you wrote. If the same types that needed correction during that war are still here today then the whole thing was bloody pointless. Our touted rights will be put to test soon enough though it's hardly to be a fair test what with the SPP provisions for security and our secret security deals with Israel.
Our touted freedoms are not much more than touts. If you doubt that, you don't have to look much farther back than yesterday and the war against the occupy movement and the loud and shrill scream from those who egg on the police to get rid of those "no good bums".
Like I have said, my dad and his brothers did not fight WWII to have the police trample our freedoms, but there they are, pepper spraying and clubbing peaceful protestors.

That varies a lot. I tend to go through phases. I spent most of the past two years doing geneology for my family. That was a lot of fun its amazing what you can find out looking through that stuff. I had thought I had some Irish in me for example through my grandfather. Turns out my great grandfather changed his name during WW1 because he was German. That was an unexpected find.
I started out looking at maritime disasters like the Titanic, Lusitania and Empress of Ireland. I just sort of branched off, now I'm all over the place.
But I hope you don't mind pumping gas for a living...............

Actually Cliff we have it pretty damn good in this country for all it's faults, we can travel where we like live where we like, say anything at about our politicians that is true and often not so true. Sure there are lots of faults, my main complaint in that department is the criminal getting more breaks than the victim. THAT we have to work on more than anything else in my mind. Criminals rights have gotten out of hand (we definitely do not want another case like David Milgaard) but the ones who are guilty in my mind should have no rights beyond three meals and a blanket. Too much of "the tail wagging the dog".
I already took the red pill. I don't need to do it again. It is a once in a lifetime deal. There is no turning back. Onwards and upwards! Still amazes me, though, how many people are content with their slavery.Meh, Id just use a voice changer and offer you a red pill or a blue pill.
