I did a little research and I believe you are quite right. It seems it is a private school. But - that said - if they are accepting money from students of various religions I think they cannot expect those students to not have a place to worship unless the student signs a waiver stating they understand that is the way the school operates and that they accept those conditions as a part of attending that school. I gather no one is suggesting they cannot worship in their own religion, just that they must do it in a room filled with all Catholic items of worship.They absolutely have the right to put up Crosses and whatever else they choose. It is a private school.
I just don't get why a person wants to go to a "Catholic" college if they are concerned with the fact that it is one. There are Colleges everywhere. Choose one that suits all your personal needs.
