I hope she doesn't slip away to quickly, dementia is far more horrible than cancer or osteo.
Wintergreen is a top notch facility. My aunt is there. She loves it.
She has had a series of strokes over the years - we are not sure how many exactly. She battled back from a bad one about three months ago but since then has slipped back noticeably. Honestly, petros I would rather one take her quickly then to have her end up in a vegetative state, hard as that sounds. Yeah Wintergreen is excellent - Mum was one of their first residents and she has had excellent care there. Have visited her many times and was always impressed with the staff and the level of comfort they provide - the meals aren't too shabby either.
Do you have a box of Dari-Os or the All Dressler chips?
Oh way cool..........nope didn't even know they had them, haven't been keeping up with all the products. Much tastier than washer fluid. LOL!

The Riders managed to pull off a win over the Argos after a less than stellar first half of football. Without the defence in the first half, the Argos may well have had their way but were held to a series of field goals until the 4:09 mark of the 2nd quarter when Darian connected with Chris Getzlaf for a 27 yard touchdown. Chris Getzlaf was outstanding for the Riders with 8 catches for over 169 yards on the day.
At half-time the Argos led by 5 points and I was wondering where all the energy exhibited in the games against the Bombers had gone.
But as usual, our come-back kids had more up their sleeves and by midway through the 3rd, Darian again connected with Chris for a 65 yarder which led to a Weston Dressler dance to the end zone and all of a sudden we were looking good again.
A Chris Milo field goal at 12:41 in the 4th closed the Argo lead to 2 points. Then James Patrick picked off a Steven Jyles pass which led to another Milo field goal and the Riders were in the lead by one point. A conceded single on a Prefontaine punt tied the score at 20 - 20 with just over 5 minutes left in the game.
Chris Milo came through again for the team at 2:31 to give the Riders a 3 point lead. With 51 seconds left in the 4th, Chris McKenzie picked a beaut from Jyles to run all the way to the end zone. TD Sask and that would do it for the win and the game. Final score: 30 to 20.
The Argos are still struggling but from what I saw of Steven Jyles performance, they have a much better chance of turning things around then they did under Cleo Lemon. Jyles agility and running ability will be a great asset to the team.
In the second game of the double-header, the Lions took it to the Stamps in their own backyard. Travis Lulay impresses me more each time I see this kid. His cool in the pocket and ability to fool the defence is great to watch. He led his team to a 32 - 19 win over the Stamps in a game that saw Huffy pull Burris in favor of Tate late in the 4th - should have done it sooner as Tate as able to marshal the team for a late quarter TD. It might have been a sign of things to come for old Hank when on the opening play of the 1rst quarter he threw an interception to Dante Marsh.
Paris Jackson had one of the best plays of the game when he was responsible for blocking a Burke Dales punt which led to BC recovering the ball and getting it to the end zone.
