Love the head gear, petros, but I think I will stick with my melon helmet...........it is such a great fashion statement. LOL!

Looking good! Fantuz flakes too. Do you have the Rider windshield washer fluid?

Not yet, but it is definitely on my Xmas shopping list. Actually, petros.......I am thinking about getting pet gear for my doggies so they can become fashion statements for the Riders too. LOL!

If you want I'll send you the jug wrapper. You can slip it over any jug and ad green water.

Riders have hooked up with Disney so expect to see a wide array of Rider gear with with Mickey/Mini on it.

Thanks for the offer, petros.......I appreciate it but I may be in Regina this fall as my Mum is not well. I never go back without a shopping trip to the Rider store.

Good grief...........what Mickey and Minnie have to do with the Riders is beyond me.........why can't we have our guys on the gear? Would rather see Darian, Craig, Ken, Andy, Weston - hell anyone rather than a couple of mice - famous mice or not!

If you do have to, make sure to let me know you are coming. I'll be in Vancouver next week and then back for the Grey Cup in November

I'm still baffled by the windshield washer fluid and steak sauce.

The Rider merchandizing team never ceases to amaze me, petros...........best in the CFL - bar none. No wonder Mark Cohen keeps singing their praises, they help keep the CFL coffers full.

Will do, petros.........she is in an apartment in Wintergreen right now but my sister tells me she is no longer able to look after herself properly and has her on the list for the new assisted living quarters there. She is really going downhill mentally and has trouble remembering things especially who all her kids are, so I want to get back before my Mum is no longer my Mum.

I'm still baffled by the windshield washer fluid and steak sauce.
After the Fantuz flakes, nothing surprises me..............it seems that fans, myself included, will line up to buy anything with the Rider name attached to it. The team has come a long way from the days when fans had to pony up just to keep their team on the field.........just goes to show the great spirit and determination of prairie folk in Saskatchewan.

I hope she doesn't slip away to quickly, dementia is far more horrible than cancer or osteo.

Wintergreen is a top notch facility. My aunt is there. She loves it.

Do you have a box of Dari-Os or the All Dressler chips?

She has had a series of strokes over the years - we are not sure how many exactly. She battled back from a bad one about three months ago but since then has slipped back noticeably. Honestly, petros I would rather one take her quickly then to have her end up in a vegetative state, hard as that sounds. Yeah Wintergreen is excellent - Mum was one of their first residents and she has had excellent care there. Have visited her many times and was always impressed with the staff and the level of comfort they provide - the meals aren't too shabby either.

Oh way cool..........nope didn't even know they had them, haven't been keeping up with all the products. Much tastier than washer fluid. LOL!

The Riders managed to pull off a win over the Argos after a less than stellar first half of football. Without the defence in the first half, the Argos may well have had their way but were held to a series of field goals until the 4:09 mark of the 2nd quarter when Darian connected with Chris Getzlaf for a 27 yard touchdown. Chris Getzlaf was outstanding for the Riders with 8 catches for over 169 yards on the day.

At half-time the Argos led by 5 points and I was wondering where all the energy exhibited in the games against the Bombers had gone.

But as usual, our come-back kids had more up their sleeves and by midway through the 3rd, Darian again connected with Chris for a 65 yarder which led to a Weston Dressler dance to the end zone and all of a sudden we were looking good again.

A Chris Milo field goal at 12:41 in the 4th closed the Argo lead to 2 points. Then James Patrick picked off a Steven Jyles pass which led to another Milo field goal and the Riders were in the lead by one point. A conceded single on a Prefontaine punt tied the score at 20 - 20 with just over 5 minutes left in the game.

Chris Milo came through again for the team at 2:31 to give the Riders a 3 point lead. With 51 seconds left in the 4th, Chris McKenzie picked a beaut from Jyles to run all the way to the end zone. TD Sask and that would do it for the win and the game. Final score: 30 to 20.

The Argos are still struggling but from what I saw of Steven Jyles performance, they have a much better chance of turning things around then they did under Cleo Lemon. Jyles agility and running ability will be a great asset to the team.

In the second game of the double-header, the Lions took it to the Stamps in their own backyard. Travis Lulay impresses me more each time I see this kid. His cool in the pocket and ability to fool the defence is great to watch. He led his team to a 32 - 19 win over the Stamps in a game that saw Huffy pull Burris in favor of Tate late in the 4th - should have done it sooner as Tate as able to marshal the team for a late quarter TD. It might have been a sign of things to come for old Hank when on the opening play of the 1rst quarter he threw an interception to Dante Marsh.

Paris Jackson had one of the best plays of the game when he was responsible for blocking a Burke Dales punt which led to BC recovering the ball and getting it to the end zone.

I saw a bunch of Sask fans downtown in Toronto today, quite the trip to watch football!

I would not be surprised to find that they actually live there, Durka...........Rider fans seem to come out of the woodwork all over the country when our team is playing in different cities across Canada. I remember attending an Sask vs Argo game in TO years ago and there were many Rider fans in attendance. When I met some of them at half-time they told me they were from TO but always cheered for the Riders.

lions are for real, so glad wally buono did not leave, never wanted that when so many were calling for
his head.
he is the one who made all the changes to bring this team back to respectability,
one player at a time,
they persevered, they never gave up, they are back, and they have a chance now.

GO LIONS GO

I saw 30,000 of them today. It's like St Patricks day every second weekend in Regina from June to Nov. Everybpody drunk and wearing green. We took our niece and nephew to their first game. They had a blast and so did I but I'm glad I can just rent kids these days and take them back to my sister's when done.

And he had faith in his QB, talloola, for which I give him high marks. Yep, the Lions are back in the game and with the Riders win yesterday things are starting to look exciting in the CFL again.

Now I am off to cheer for Winnipeg. Hope Paul LaPolice has come up with some solutions to their slump.

What has absolutely blown me away is how some doctor has prescribed creative pills to Chapdelaine's offense. Jacques has always had the most boring schemes. Now the Lions are running the fake double reverse like it's just another call and fairly ho hum to execute. I wonder if Jarious Jackson might be acting more as a coach and playbook developer than a player these days because some of the run and play action looks like a Notre Dame offense.
