Yes!

Fun fact: In 1994 the Canucks lost Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final, the city rioted, and the same year the Lions won they grey cup on home soil.

Before the game one of Lions (I forget who) was asked about the pressure to win. He said they had been in playoffs for the last 12 games so were use to it lol.

Almost didn't get to watch the Grey Cup yesterday. Our power went out at 1:23, stayed out until 8:48 when it was back briefly only to go out again until 9:23 - thank heavens for TSN2. I religiously avoided any chance of hearing the results and tuned in at 10:30 to watch the game. Didn't get to bed until well after 4 but I wouldn't have missed it for the world, even though I am bit drowsy today.

Wow! What a spectacle - it must have been almost overwhelming for everyone in BC Place yesterday - if I hadn't known better, I may have thought I'd tuned into a NFL game. Loved the tribute to our troops. Loved the fans in the stands singing Oh Canada and putting Jan off her stride - way to go! Really enjoyed the half-time show though I wondered what it must have been like with all that smoke in the air.

Trav deserved the MVP and Harris the Most Valuable Canadian award. Well done gentleman.

I will say that without Tim Brown setting the Lions up again and again with great field position; without Paul punting deep to hold the Bombers in their zone, things might - might - have been a bit different. Just wanted to give a shout to those guys.

I wonder what Odell is thinking and feeling today? I doubt he will ever forget that dropped interception or how his pre-game trash-talk might have affected his participation in the game - or non-participation as was the case.

Congratulations to the Bombers for a great year of football and for making it to the Cup - that in itself is an accomplishment especially considering that last year's champs couldn't pull it off. This was almost a forgone conclusion so nothing to hang your head's about. The momentum was in the Lions' favor and they took full advantage.

Much as I would like to see Wally on the sidelines again next year, the possible move to GM might save his lips. LOL! Never saw anyone who chews his lips so much! Wally you deserve all the accolades coming your way. You are a great coach and the win was the proof.

Well done Lions. Well done Bombers. Well done fans for keeping the celebrations happy and crime free, knew you could do it. Here's to another fabulous year in the CFL in 2012. I love my league.

It would have made a great skit for Laugh-In.

I heard a cool comment on the radio today from Angus Reid. A caller asked why Wally never wears a headset like all other coaches you see. Reid said that Wally has deligated decision-making authority to his assistant coaches and doesn't want to talk or hear anything that isn't vital. Reid went on to say Wally told them before the Cup game that 'the only decision I'll make is whether or not we go for it on 3rd and 1, but I'll tell you right now, we'll go for it'.
