actually the answer to the big problem between west and east is 'tolerance', and I do believe that because
we in the west have so many different denominations of religion, we have learned to be tolerant, and
accept 'all' into our societies, BUT the the middle east isn't tolerant at all, and continue to condemn
the west, in the religious sense, and it seems they will never change.
we can only wait and hope that they change within their own borders, by the young generations who grow
up with more knowledge and interest in 'everyone' on earth, and are not living with the tunnel vision
and blind obedience of their parents and grandparents, but their revolutions will take generations and
much blood will be shed within their own borders, and the change will be slow.
a simple plan by a group of thugs to fly airplanes into buildings worked better than any billion dollar
bombing, and changed the world forever. A pure wakeup call as to how damage can be done by anyone who
gets an original idea and sees it through.
thanks to bin laden, now the west can use its 'thinking' power much better than before, and be more aware.
the trick is 'not' to defeat anyone, but create an atmosphere 'where' they think twice, (which I think
they are allready doing) before making threats or blowing up buildings, and secondly, if the republicans
take power in the white house, 'tone' it down, and don't wave your fists so much, 'think' first.
The U.S. have lots of support around the world, including from us canadians, and we all have to support
each other in any efforts to stay safe, but at the same time, understand the narrow thinking of the middle
east, and have more tolerance than they do, that is a strength in itself.
Bin Laden had 'no' particular reason to blow up buildings, he just did. He had many problems which he had created
himself, within his own country of saudi arabia, he was a pouting arabian, who's country didn't want him.
I think he was trying to prove to his own kind, how they should take notice of him, pay attention to him,
respect him, like a child trying to get the attention of his parents by doing something so rash, that they
finally 'really' look at him.
