I guess it depends on whether you are approaching it from a statistical standpoint or an emotional one. :smile:

I don’t necessarily oppose the Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline, JLM. I am worried about using Kitimat as a terminal. I don't understand why they couldn't use a port with an open approach to the ocean for the tankers. The approach to Kitimat is fraught with dangers not the least of which is the already large amount of shipping traffic in the area. Can you imagine the effect of just one spill in that area - just one spill?

You make a good point. Prince Rupert would probably be a better port, but between the highway the railway and the Skeena River there's not much room for a pipeline.

The easterners have become accustomed to their culture of entitlement. Hey, these guy want their spa breaks, like the ones they get in the auto industry... Do you really think they would stoop that low to work on an oil rig without spa breaks ???

These guys have become so used to having it so good, that is the reason the west has to keep sending them money is so they can pay their bills and have their spa breaks !!

Theres the newfy hour in fort mac every sunday on the radio and most newfys pretty well shut her down and kicked back every sunday when it came on.

I tells ya me b'ye,I,m going to move ta Alberta,make lots of money,buy lots of toys and get a big ass tatoo on me neck.

I live a couple hundred meters from the big trans canada pipeline and so far it's been safe. I have also done some work on their right of ways and they are very safety and environmentally oriented,allmost a pain in the ass to even cross one of their ROW's with all the permits and inspectors involved.

Tattooing and body modification go back 10s of thousands of years. It's nothing new.

Ya,I have my home made one from my younger days too,did it with a razor blade and now it looks like the mcdonalds arches.
I couldnt understand the neck tatoos though,seems every easterner at the oilsands has one.

(but you might have to run it above the Skeena River suspended by sky hooks)

Personally I don't find them appealing and I know for FACT that the incredible rise in tattoo shops isn't because they are cool. They are incredibly good laundering businesses for the dope trade.

I'm guessing a minimum grade is a greater issue,oil being viscious. I guess a pump can overcome any grade.

Nope, not by a long shot. On highway 16 Rose Lake (west of Burns Lake) is another summit. One Highway 1. there are the Selkirk Mountains and the Monashee Mountains. One Highway 3 there is the Purcell Mts. the Selkirks, the Monashees, the Okanagan RAnge and the Cascades.
