There were a few problems.

Our waters aren't the cleanest. Dead heads and debris. I believe it was on the maiden voyage, or one of the early runs the turbines sucked in some debris and shut the engines down. Cost an arm and a leg to fix em. There was concern. considering the speeds they could attain, that the cat hulls could be breached by an errant dead head.

gee jlm.... awful quiet..... no more smart ass comments?

A few problems?
Cost about double what Clark promised for the three they managed to coddle together. Poorly designed and shoddily built. both the runners had hull cracks amony other problems. Also wipped out almost every private dock along their route.

taxslave; So why would you want to leave just when we got rid of the bums and got a good government?[/QUOTE said:
Oooooooooooooooh Taxslave..............I'll admit a better government for sure, but good, nah, I'd give it a "C", mind you on one could be a bigger buffoon than Glen Clark.

All that stuff aside the part that I can not get over is the fact he ordered THREE unknown products when a normal person with a "room temperature" I.Q. would order one to start with and experiment with. Put frankly, the man is an IDIOT.

What's Affirmative Action?

Read The Histories by Herodotus and you will read of the world's earliest example of AA when Egyptians allowed indigent Greeks into their academies for free.

A smart person would perform a risk assessment before ordering even one to "experiment" with.

Do you know the reasons behind the NDP's decision for the fast cats?

I did at the time about 15 years ago. One reason was to reduce sailing time, can't recall all the others. Regardless, purchasing one would be enough to find out whether it works or not!

I didn't think so, and I see you have decided you don't need to educate yourself either.

What? Swearing? I'm not the one that whines about it.

I swear like everyone else, Gerry "F*** off" is pretty mild to someone who is a chronic, habitual and compulsive pest. I don't normally use it to insult someone I disagree with, I have no problem with other's differing opinions.........I do have a problem with people who don't read mine properly and then "repeat" back to me something I didn't say. One prime example..........yesterday I said I didn't like the hiring process that involved giving special consideration to minorities..............all I said was I didn't like the process. Twenty seconds later you come out like you are jet propelled, insinuating that I was making light of Indians, the deaf, the blind etc. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Like I said, I wasn't the only one that took your comments that way. There were a few and they spoke up about it. As for here, you made the statement that not everyone has my opinion, and I pointed out to you that I had not voiced my opinion on the fastcats. Now, are you going to prove me a liar, or are you going to admit that, once again, you're talking out of your ass.

And how am I "talking out of my ass"?

Isn't it about time to get rid of 'Affirmative Action" and just see to it that all are treated equally. The jump starts getting everyone into society are already law, just enforce it. Pushing it all the time is having a boomerang effect and we do not want to lose what has been gained.
