I will never blame a loss on officiating. Boston seem to have a plan when it comes to infractions,
committ hundreds of them, as the officials can only see so many at a time, so we will get away with
most of them, true, that has happened.
But the ones that are right there for us to see on the TV are 'head scratchers' for sure, BUT canucks
did not lose the game because of officiating.
The goalie gave boston 3 goals to start the game, then another quick one on schneider, then "OK BOYS,
LETS SEE IF WE CAN WIN NOW', give me a break, what has that got to do with officiating.
How much stuffing is out of the rest of the players after that little goaltending display, and it
was good to see them try to battle back for the rest of the game, (which was most of the game), and
they did score a couple, just think how good things could have been without those 3 easy goals at the
beginning of the game.
Someone today accused luongo of being paid off by the mafia, thats a new one, kind of funny, as he
is italian, looks like he could be part of the mafia, when dressed in his light coloured suits, hair
slicked strait back from his face, hillarious, 'whats next'.
It's a concern for sure, Karrie, but I imagine as long as he was able to move all extremities, the hazard was minimal and they probably didn't want to give Boston anything more to gloat about. I'm guessing he'll be back in the line up tomorrow.
he has a fractured vertebrae, will be out 4 to 6 months, and yes, I agree karrie, hauling him up off
of the ice, the way they did, was very scary, and we said as much at the time, he could be more
seriously injured now, because of that. I'm very surprised, as canucks staff is so experienced
and thorough usually.
The entire scenario is very weird to say the least. It's sure a different "season" now. With both Chicago and Boston they haven't looked like serious Cup contenders. At risk of sound disloyal, I would have to say Boston is more deserving of the Cup- the Canucks convincingly earned home ice advantage which so far is a saviour for them.
yes JLM, if they do manage somehow to pull this off, I don't ever want to hear anyone say again, "I
don't give a damn about the presidents' cup, the stanley cup is all that counts", because that
presidents' cup will be the only thing that saved them, 'if they get saved at all'.
