Yeah it's great when the Prime Minister does it as long as he's right wing, but should it come from the left, even from a lowly page, it's worse than buggering children in Sunday School.

Seriously, I read an article that claimed the average male brain does not reach full development until the age of 25.
By that time I was not so left.
I went completely the other way. Started as a Liberal, then to NDP, then to Green and now an Anarchist. If I get any more left, I'll fall off the planet. Actually, I think I did. Politics is just entertainment that I watch for laughs. I particularly love to laugh at people who take it seriously.
Having survived Harris and watched Mulroney and Harper in action, I've come to the conclusion that a hard Conservative stance on organized crookery is because they don't like competition
It is the elected government using the Monarch as a puppet...........forcing them to speak the words the representatives of the people put in their mouths.
How could it more represent the primacy of the people?
If there was no monarchy at all. If it was like, say, the state of the union in the United States. The throne speech in the most overt display of monarchy in our system. While everything else is done in the Queen's name, it isn't on display with the same pomp and pageantry. The best example of the primacy of the people is the exercising of that primacy with as little reference to the monarchy at all. The throne speech is probably the least representative of the people's power.
My guess is Ms DePape's protest must have been dead on the mark, gauging by how Harpo-lovers are still frothing at the mouth

I personally think the existence of a Monarch as servant to the people, especially as demonstrated in the Speech, makes a very sharp point ........

Ms. DePape doesn't have me frothing at the mouth, youth lends itself to self-aggrandizement, and we should be somewhat tolerant, while demonstrating that actions have consequences....like being fired.
What makes me foam at the mouth is the morons that accept her as hero, and have kept this foolishness on-going......who buy into the "Arab Spring" claims.....a mind-set that indicates they have been kicked HARD in the head by a horse....repeatedly......and should probably not be allowed out on their own.
