The way it is now, I think you're right. However if all salaries were divided by 4 and the price of admission divided by 4, then it might work.

Never mind that. My point was that while Americans are ready and willing to pay MONEY to see a high school game Canadians as in Winnipeg and Quebec City are TOO CHEAP to pay to see an NHL game.

Hell yeah!

Phoenix to Winnipeg
Columbus to Quebec City
Panthers to Hamilton:canada:

Just because they can't count on support from YukonJack-off doesn't mean they don't deserve a team.

2 out of 3 of those cities have already had teams and failed.

Heck Eric Lindros sat out a year because he didn't want to play for Quebec. He wanted to play on a US Team. ;)

Recipe for three teams going broke before the next season starts.

I wish I were wrong.

I don't like hockey. Since 1974 hockey became a game of goons, for goons and by goons.

So, my support was never an issue. The cheapness of would-be 'fans' in Winnipeg, Quebec City and Hamilton is.

I have some real mixed feelings about the Eric (the concussion) Lindros affair. Part of me says he should have been made to sit out for 4 years (instead of the required 2)and then re-enter the draft which would have gotten even funnier if Quebec finished with the first pick and drafted him again. Part of me wishes they dealt him sooner because the result of the deal was making the Avs a cup winner. I have the opinion though that if you want to play in the league you play for who drafts you or give up hockey.

BTW he had a few teams he wanted to play for including Toronto, it wasn't a US thing it was basically anywhere but Quebec. He should have just been honored to play in the league anywhere till he earned free-agency

Where have you been since Bettman took over? Another year or two and it will be figure-skating with sticks!!!

I don't call for the death of an entire race or religious group, that already puts me one up on Yukonjack and some other crazies on here.

CUBert, please show just ONE (1) post of mine in which I called for the death of an entire race or religious group.

"Where have you been since Bettman took over? Another year or two and it will be figure-skating with sticks!!!"

It is a safe bet that when I surf TV, find an NHL game and wait not more than 10 minutes the goons, aka millionair hockey players will be involved in a fisticuff.

I'd rather watch Professional Wrestling.

I would like to bring to everyone's attention something that nobody seems to have noticed or is questioning.

On Last Friday afternoon Obama's poll ratings were in the low 40's based mainly on the continuing failure of the economy. By Monday morning his poll ratings were well over 60 and no-one was talking about the economy anymore or has it been mentioned since. Am I the only one to take notice of this?

No, did you notice it didn't jump as high as Bush's did (after the war speeches began to appear)? Nor will it last as long.

F*ck, talk about missing the point.
Do you think those people no longer care about the economy and struggling to make ends meet or were they manipulated into forgetting about it?
No ... overlooking it. Are you talking in the United States, worldwide, in these Forums? If you really were a soldier, even just a radio guy - you gotta know you gotta aim on a target - unless it's nuclear. Obviously, yours wasn't....

Sure they care. Happier people tend to approve more....

Air India was not terrorism directed at Canada but regarding a fight within India and Pakistan, unfortunately it killed many Canadian citizens and of course the flight originated in Montreal but it was not an attack on Canada.

Your original post referred to 'Canada or Canadians'.

The Air India attacks were both terrorist events that happened in Canada.

You get a D on this paper.

Well I don't see anyone but americans in the approval ratings polls so I thought it would have been clear.

I've just given you an F, because you apparently don't know anything.

Maybe you should read up on the event.

Air India Flight 182 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Air India Flight 182 was an Air India flight operating on the Montréal-London-Delhi route. On 23 June 1985, the airplane operating on the route — a Boeing 747-237B (c/n 21473/330, reg VT-EFO) named after Emperor Kanishka — was blown up by a bomb while in Irish airspace, at an altitude of 31,000 feet (9,400 m), and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.
