I'm not about to list them all off again, nor link the sources and facts.... it's been done to death and we can look forward to a string of new corruption never before seen :p

Many of the things that were found to be true, the response to those were "we'll hit him back for them in the next election."

Well, it seems people liked that stuff, so what more is there to say?

Harper's government has been the most corruption-free Canadian government since 1968.

It was a long night on air but worth it, I haven't done a radio show that long in years. It took
me back to those long ago days in the newsroom on other election nights. Harper did get
his majority, however he also got a new opposition party. Power must be tempered with
wisdom or it will be rendered useless. Case in point Brian Mulroney had the biggest and
I mean the biggest majority in Canadian history. In the end doing what he pleased cost the
Progressive Conservative Party its place in Canada let alone the House of Commons.
The Liberals have now suffered a defeat of epic proportions, they are reduced to almost
nothing and their main talent is gone from the benches of stature. The new force is the NDP
once thought to be condemned to a small group forever. Official Opposition is called the
government in waiting, and it is possible in the future. We could be in for a rough ride and if
so the Canadian people will be the final judge in four years time.

I've never been so pleased to read all the whining, crying, bitter, stubborn, comments from the liberal crowd. After all the predictions of doom for the Conservative party and then to have them thoroughly trounce the Liberals to almost the point of extinction is truly satisfying. The next 4 years you'll have absolutely NO say in this country's politics.

I do have to give credit to Jack Layton for a truly amazing and historic result. Now what do you do with all those new Quebecers? Should be interesting to watch and stressful for Jack.

Actually it was the NDP that demolished the Libs not the cons. Harpo only gained about 2% of the popular vote and he still has less than 40%. What a f*cked up system we have to give a guy with 39.5% of the vote a majority in parliament and free run to ruin the country for 4 years.
