you're right, I had to go back to see who the OP is, so this thread does not apply to my
post.

I think I must be under the wrong impression but I always thought a person could respond to someones post regardless of what the O.P. had to say.

I'll remember that on Nov 11.

Why not, you do it all the time.

actually, very very seldom does that happen. I do notice it happening a lot though with the brain dead atheists who get so excited at the thought of jumping into another Religious thread that they damn near cum in their panties right there and then.

I don't think "brain dead" atheists are any worse than "brain dead" Bible Thumpers............at least they have enough brains not to be knocking on my door & at least tend to mind their own business.

Considering none of these threads constitute a "knock on your door" your analogy is flawed.

and there we have the final block(head). Not even the, supposedly intelligent, dexter has the mental acuity to comprehend the request that Goober made.

It just shows what the over all mental abilities of atheists truly are.

Let's not be to hard on them. We have to love Dexter because God orders it.

Ahh ... gotta admit. I slow to look at train wrecks and car crashes too. They're much less confusing in their conflicts....

I have no problem there, but I guess you're an expert on that 'little' problem, but you probably don't notice anything, in that department, while
wearing your extra large depends, when you jump all over the forum.

Speaking of jumping, we can all jump into any thread, doesn't matter what the topic is, our
opinions aren't shut out anywhere.

I don't think it's the mere opinions Gh has an issue with talloola. I think it's the tone and nature of attacking something he holds dear and is deeply personal to him.

Much like when I attacked you.

So I know you can relate to how a religious person would feel, when attacked, right?

As I said earlier, I'll remember that on Nov. 11.

Whoa, hang on there Bear. I not sure that calling a guy a "F*****g A$$hat" meets too many standards for "tone". But anyway it's good to have a little humour in these threads.

Sure. The love of god is so unlimited that he'll fry me molten sulfur for eternity if I don't accept it, regardless of the kind of life I lived, and a vicious serial rapist/murderer gets a free pass just by walking through that door when the time comes. You know what we call people who won't accept that someone doesn't love them? Stalkers, abusers, psychos, murderers... That's exactly the kind of nonsensical doctrinal claim that so thoroughly turned me off religion I ended up at the atheist position.
Well I differ - i believe that leading a good life, no not that type of good life Dex, the other type of good life. God will accept you. Why would he not.
The RCC has the same belief that a good person even though they do not believe can enter heaven

I do not believe God is a vengeful God. Some do Ii strongly disagree that God is such a being.

A Physicist once stated - that man is just a puny part of Gods plan. And that i also can agree with.

Yes

Fallen angels, 1/3 of an innumerable number.

As such they only require a basic answer, an addition to the first answer is that it is love for mankind that made God come up with a plan to 'retrieve us' even if it means He has to use a side that is usually 'asleep'. Considering the end and the alternative I'm not sure what the complaint is.

I have no complaint. It is funny though that pretty much all the old Gods of Western Civilization before the time of the Bible spoke about how God created man out of love and even when man turned against him he couldn't destroy what he loved. Might be true of some other old religions also.

The punishment for sin is death, so far He is batting 1,000 for the number s that come into life and (will) leave life. The flood was brought because God felt grief for what fallen angels had done to mankind. God let if get down to one family still being 100% human. That speaks of tolerance does it not? If violence was the motivator when Cain slew Able the flood could have been avoided, just put the same mark on any man that sinned in those early generations.
I don't know if God loved us before creating us but there always was a method that could be used to save everybody so we could all enter the new earth together as one group, no mater what errors we could possibly make in this life we cannot cut ourselves off. Tying to take advantage of that act of grace will make the path bumpier than it has to be if you know this fact. Tying to take advantage of that act of grace will make the path bumpier than it has to be if you know this fact. Tying to take advantage of that act of grace will make the path bumpier than it has to be if you know this fact.

Mankind didn't turn against God, Satan turned against God (Angels were always under the same Law that is given to men just before they put on mortality in Re.21. Satan chose Eve because Eve never met God, the Holt Spirit of Christ, that is why Satan approached her, since Adam and Eve were one flesh if Eve ate then Adam would have to eat as love would not let him see her die alone. By the time of the cross God would seemed to have loved mankind enough to send His only Son to the same fate, death in the grave. That helps us out as Satan also suffers death, only his is the fiery lake.

The two verses below are about grief, the first one is what Jesus felt when Mary was blaming Him for her brother being dead (if they had left two days earlier He would have been able to heal Lazarus) Is it the same grief in both references. In the Genesis one it just means the fallen angels were worse that what it could have been like. (mood of the fallen angels being the deciding factor)

Joh.11:32
Then when Mary was come where Jesus was,
and saw him,
she fell down at his feet,
saying unto him,
Lord,
if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
Joh.11:33
When Jesus therefore saw her weeping,
and the Jews also weeping which came with her,
he groaned in the spirit,
and was troubled,

Ge.6:5
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,
and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Ge.6:6
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth,
and it grieved him at his heart.
Ge.6::7
And the LORD said,
I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth;
both man,
and beast,
and the creeping thing,
and the fowls of the air;
for it repenteth me that I have made them.

I have no interest in how dear his religious beliefs are, its his inability to interact with
others that is so lacking, doesn't matter what the subject is, and he has been told off by
many more people than I, the best one being on the 'royals' thread the other day, it was 'gold',
and it was 'true', he can't go around treating others like sh*t and not expect lash back.

I do not respect others beliefs in religion, I have no respect for religion, why should I back
up and hesitate, my freedom from religion is 'dear to me', I treasure that, and I have had many
crude remarks thrown my way for that freedom, it's a two way street, and I can take it just fine,
without getting personal, but I will heave the personal insults right back, when they come my way,
so go for it.
I do respect the 'right' of anyone to believe in anything they wish, that is their freedom.

OK, off to the hockey game for me.

Perhaps Gerry is mentioning a point that is quite common in North America - If i state i ( Insert ethnic minority Religion) no one really says anything for fear of harassment etc. Yet state that you are a Christian and all the bile can come forth. Just my dumb ass observation of how society seems or appears to work.

All religions excepting Christianity are in the workplaceTaboo for insults, innuendo and other such rude comments.

Again I am just a dumb ass Christian.
