I believe that Bev Oda was well within her right to over ride the decision; however, her deception in this matter was unforgivable and she should have been sacked on that alone.
Unfortunately, this is a matter of holding ones nose and voting for the one who doesn't quite stink as much as the other. I'm not gonna trade in car with issues for one without an engine.

As it stands now.
The Conservitives will run a big deficit giving corporations and the wealthy more money on the backs of the working class.
The Liberals will run a bigger deficit trying to create the biggest social welfare state in history while secretly funneling money to their friends on the backs of the working class.
The NDP and Bloc could't win a minority government let alone a majority but if they did the Bloc would try to separate and the NDP wouln't know what to do all at the expense of the working class.
The Greens and some other small parties and independants don't matter anymore.
It is all an exercise in futility that will end up costing the working class billions no matter what the outcome.
Ill vote for whoever brings back capital punishment so someone can shoot Paul Bernardo in the face with a 45/70, and then after his brains are splattered across the wall ban capital punishment

Oh, she was within her rights to override the decision. But not to commit fraud by altering a document after it's been signed. Typically, that's considered a criminal offense.

Right now Average Canadians have two things on their minds.
- The recovering economy;and
- Keeping their family fed
Which explains points 1 and 2: people don't care about the ethics of the government. No wonder we're in the shape we're in.
Unfortunately until it's legalized and taxed it doesn't really prop up anything but an underground economy that doesn't contribute to the public coffers.
Well, those people in the underground economy probably buy cars, and gas, and food, and clothes.
The small amount of tax revenue generated by their purchases is far outweighed by the cost of the war on drugs. By legalizing and taxing we would generate huge amounts of new revenue while reducing spending on policing etc. Win - Win situation.
i think its because they are not taxed per transaction the government says its bad for the economy
