Violent offender nabbed in East Van - British Columbia - CBC News

This S.O.B. escaped custody while enroute to a halfway house. Since when do people who fantacize killing and kidnapping children belong in half way houses? I'm expecting to hear any day now that Clifford Olson has been transferred to a half way house. No wonder C.B.C. has closed the story to comments. Or is the Liberal's incessant whining about Harper getting tough on crime beginning to gather momentum?

Why is it you bumpkins feel getting tough on crime is rousting kids and busting Cannabis users? If you want to get tough on crime, it's no secret where the armed gangs are. What is also no secret is that they aren't afraid to shoot at cops in broad day light. If you want to get tough on crime, go ahead and legislate against those gang members who shoot off guns in cities. Feel free to put a mandatory life sentence on those who shoot at others. Dangerous offender status for pedophiles and three strike rule for assault convictions.

But let's lose this petty **** you are calling tough on crime since it's nothing of the sort. Tough on poor maybe. Tough on harmless Cannabis users without question. But tough on violent crime? Not this government. And you support the pussies no less.

Maybe you should quit posting on the Internet if you can't use you inside voice today.

It's the neocons you have such a hard on for that haven't done anything to toughen laws for these guys.
You vote for them on the basis that they say one thing and do another.
Maybe if you quit acting like a big baby for a while, you would be better able to make a responsible decision come the election.

Who gives a **** about another old fart rattling on about some injustice on the Internet. It's not like no one knows what the problem is. It's that no one is doing anything about it. So instead of whining in yet another thread here, why don't you find out who your MP is and come election time, raise the issue. I know it takes getting off your bum but that's how democracy works.

Instead the Pedophiles and violent offenders go free while mom and pop run Cannabis compassion shops providing medical Cannabis to those in need with Canadian issued prescriptions get arrested.

So you'd have no issues in a significant tax hike to properly treat those who need it and staff the extra facilities to adequately deal with dangerous people with mental health issues?
