Ah yes, it was a choice between playing imperialism and shooting savages in Africa and Central Asia or NHS and a security net.
I think it was all simple for these lads.
Despite the claims of a "decline of Britain", things have otherwise became remarkably much better for the average Briton. All the money that used to go into making bullets and battleships went towards social nets.

we have a new "Imperialism" called mass immigration and the war on terrorism... my generation, in addition to impoverished first nations' children and other disaffected groups within Canadian society, are given the second fiddle to the "refugee" from Hellonearthstan and the "skilled migrant".

And does anyone seriously believe space hasn't been militarized from the beginning? Anyone old enough to remember what the acronym MIRV means? SDI? You think there haven't been spy satellites up there for decades, or that GPS has no military applications? Anyone who thinks not militarizing space just means no weapons platforms permanently in earth orbit is hopelessly naive.
And why the Hell would you think (a) there's a laser gun in orbit, and (b) China might nuke the White House? Have you any idea how heavily invested in the U.S. economy China is? China might be a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them. .
This program was obviously started before Obama's time and the X-37B could have more applications than just Military use..
Space was Militarized the minute the first satellite went into orbit and there have been many benefits because of it such as the Hubble Space Telescope..
America can't afford any more nonsense. The money for the X-37B should be used to pay down the national debt, and the federal govt. should start losing weight in a major way.
Why? If the sky is falling, wouldn't it be a good thing to have a way to put it back?
