I trust no government, not even Canada's. You'd have to be particularly dense to trust any government even with verification and auditing as in the case of Iran. Never mind that Israel, India, Pakistan and North Korea are not being verified or audited. I trust these countries about equally.

Yet only inspected and audited Iran and North Korea face sanctions. That's blatant double standards.

Iran - When after many years the IAEA is arriving at the conclusion that Iran is not cooperating fully as determined by the UN NPT and signed agreements with Iran and suspicion is that diversion of material for Nukes is being done. Yet you are all over the IAEA recently but supported them like a Jihadist when they supported the position you hold.

NPT - Iran signed off on it and more stringent verification - So get off that horse

Verification - Both the US and former USSR, now the Soviet Union have a workable verification system.

Iran hasn't invaded anybody in about 200 years, who were you referencing? Nuclear weapons are not the best defenses as country can have, systems like the S-400 are more in line with defense.

Here are a couple of recent peaceful Iranian incursions. As for nuclear bombs, Israel developed their own. It was their people who helped developed it in the first place. S-400 has a;ready been countered

I do agree about never trusting any government........however, some have shown themselves to be responsible ...including Israel, who has been nuclear armed since 1969 at least....and has never even threatened anyone, despite being in serious trouble in the 1973 Yom Kippur War........

Iran and North Korea are aggressive rogue states led by screaming loonies. The fact that they are extremely threatening is obvious to everyone without their fingers jammed in their ears. Personally, I'd bomb NK back to the Stone Age NOW.........and I'd do the same to Iran before it gets nukes./ That would be sensible....

Of course that middle class forgot its origin and engine (labour movement) and is now paying the ultimate price for sloth and neglect of the ancestors. I read the Brothers Reuther I think it was. My upbringing was in a federal police family. I'm all for small efficient government and balanced budgets. I think there's a lot of different perspectives about what the left and right actually are these days. I guess it depends a lot on location. I'm a recovering lefty who would avoid the directional labels all together now. I won't serve the polarizing machine any more than I already have. The left and the right have got to eat and they've got to have a roof and they've got to raise their children in peace. If we can agree that far the rest should be easy. It's that third party that won't play by any rules but the jungles though.
