That's hitting a little close to home for some. We're beyond the tipping point I feel that it's past time to grab all you can. Wealth is becoming mobile and nation is becoming meaningless. Granted there is no shortage of past their prime patriots who thump their chest and rattle the chains of the war machine, but it follows the money, not the flag.

No place remains sacred and all will fall to the meat grinder of unbridled capitalism. Most know that at some point someone is going to take a big bite out of the rich. See them now fret and fritter away in the Middle East as nations fall one two three. But big money is like a school of fish, not all will be caught in that big bite and will live to swim another day.

The middle class is blind to this and only know that there is a growing hunger. Some think the poor can be helped, things can get better, there is hope for the future. The monkeys always want the keys be none will ever know how to drive the car.

Good points EAO.

Karma has a way of exacting compensation. I am hearing reports from Canada's snow birds that the situation in the US is far worse than they are letting on. Poverty will raise its ugly head just like in ME countries and tear you apart in civil war. Retribution is a bitch!

What countries have the longest undefended border in the world? Long ago Canada tied its economic and national security interests to those of America. Everything is connected. But none of that will help the people of Iraq.

Why do you think I've been predicting large scale American immigration to Canada? You've hit the nail on the head. Canadians had better wish Americans well. Otherwise the population of Canada is going to grow like you wouldn't believe.

Retribution is a bitch? Canada is like a passenger on the Titanic. It's coming along for the ride.

With nary a word of complaint from the ever so principled far right CONservatives.

What do you think of Obama's boy Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of General Electric who is cashing in big time on federal green energy subsidies? There is such a thing as the corporate left. Duke Energy, GE, BP, George Soros and a host of other crony capitalists.

Neat,
the Americans will be doing jobs which Canadians refuse to do - like flushing toliets, mopping our floors, working in the sex industry; et al. I'm looking forward to my $1 Big Macs.

We will do to Quebec what the Mexicans have done to California. The character of Canada will change. This is not something any one should look forward to except big employers looking for cheap labor and corrupt politicians. Canadian politicians will pander to Americans who live in Canada. We will suck you dry. Canada won't be Canada any more.

Btw, Canadians will never leave the sex industry.

Is that why Viagra is such a big seller in the US?

There is enough Texans in Albertastan to make it another state of the union already. Nary a peep from the locals. BC, on the other hand, think they are Canada and the rest are just freeloaders. We will fight tooth and nail any attempt to change our character (at least in the interior. The pussies in Vancouver might let you walk all over them.)

I know that already. My point is that GE has always been a well known contributor to Republican causes. It just happens that Obama has joined in on their corporate welfare bandwagon. This belies the myth that he is such a ''liberal'' when, in fact, he gives more corporate welfare than Bush does.

Well, then we are agreed that Obama is worthless.

Haha. Tell your women to put on their red dresses and tell your men to sing the blues.

You sound like you just found out that the Democrats were not liberal; there's a good reason why the real liberals attempt to avoid the embarassment of association and call themselves Libetarians.
