Too painful for you to remember daddy the bootlegger? The philanderer who would have died of AIDS or by the bullet of a jealous husband? Or the drunk who let an innocent woman die while he was too much of a chicken to save her?
I would honestly mourn Robert, who, by some weird coincidence, was a decent person in a corrupt family.
Ted Kennedy was one thing, but John Jr seemed alright. Rather tragic, kid lost his Dad, his Mom to cancer and eventually his life.
I don't hold the Kennedy's on a pedestal, but I'm glad John Kennedy was President during the Cuban missile crisis.

there are many many kennedy's left, lots of offspring, some in government. I am familiar with all of the
'negative' past of the kennedys, and it's too bad that all we hear is the negative side, and 'all' they did that was
good for many, is left unsaid, and the kennedys themselves did not spout to the public the help they
gave thru their politics and power to the regular person in life, so I will commend them for that.

yes, I think of that too, and caroline must have some sad reflective moments, as she remembers her family,
now all deceased, all the uncles too, but she does have dozens and dozens of kennedys who are living and
don't have to live in the headlines each and every day, so I'm sure they are comfort to her.

JFK brought in government bonds issued against silver thus circumventing 'The Fed'. 'The Fed' is a private bank that issues US currency.
The bonds issued against silver gave the US people real wealth. It didn't last. I guess it didn't fit in with the new world order.
Not to mention civil rights that would not have been pushed through without his efforts.
The Kennedys were the closest thing to a real people's government the US has had. If Obama strays away from the wars that sustain the US he will be in Arlington too. In my humble opinion
What I found interesting was the very real fear that many Americans had, worrying about having a Catholic President.
What did they have to worry about?
The country was founded on the principle of separation of church and state.

HEy YJ Do you ever do anything except cut down the better presidents that the US has been so fortunate to have? How about some of the really bad ones like Tricky Dick, Ronnie Raygun and both Bushes?
that seemed to be overblown by media, but it was a first, so a big thing was made of it, didn't seem
to be nearly as real as media suggested.
One of the things I really liked about Reagan, he really exuded an aura of optimism.
