FIFY and you're incapable of doing so.

Why? I read a more balanced cross section of information outlets then you. That's obvious. Hence I'm the one that is capable of doing my own research, not using wikiality, not using propaganda sites, and have punched holes so large, in all your posts, that you can drive an aid convoy through them.
Neither. I would be proven right and you're simply not capable of accepting you're wrong.

I'm well aware that there's poverty in almost every country. Blaming the poverty in Palestine on Israel, while Palestine exports crops, is asinine at best.

Ya, which is why they're exporting food now...

Great equation by the way. No limits on the stupidity you can stuff in a post eh?

You're not informed and you don't read unbiased sources. If you're reading information that tells you obesity is the main problem of Palestinians, fresh food and supermarkets/malls are rampant, not only is your information flawed but also your ability to detect bias information, something learned in high school.

You're not informed...
You can ignore the fact that Gaza is poised to start exporting crops if you want. But maintaining ignorance in the face of undeniable fact, only proves that you are a Joo hater.

and you don't read unbiased sources.
Really? You know what I read do you?
If you're reading information that tells you obesity is the main problem of Palestinians,
Please cite the post in which I made that claim.

I can provide an article from the Ecomist in 2004, in which WHO stats on obesity are shown, Gaza and the West Bank, ranked 8th and 9th. In fact, since I am nothing like you and your ilk. I can cite the actual study that that info is taken from. In fact, I think I still have the PDF on my puter.

That's called research, you should try it sometime.

What will you provide to counter that?

A "Shut the **** up"?

A wikiality article?

fresh food and supermarkets/malls are rampant,
The pics were posted on a Palestinian website. You'll have to take that up with them.
not only is your information flawed but also your ability to detect bias information,

Dude, that coming from you is beyond funny!!!

something learned in high school.
What's your excuse then?

In the first half of 2007 (prior to the Hamas takeover of Gaza), an average of 17 Palestinians were killed per month in Gaza. During the entire period, a total of two Israelis were killed in southern Israel. In June 2007, Hamas took complete control of the Strip, routing Fatah’s security forces. Soon after, Israel initiated a tight siege of the territory and three months later, designated the Gaza Strip a “hostile entity.” Rockets into Israel intensified as well as Israel’s attacks on the Strip. From July 2007 to June 2008, average monthly conflict-related fatalities in Gaza and its vicinity rose to 49 Palestinians, while Israeli deaths for the whole period dropped to one.

Hamas and Israel reached a ceasefire agreement on June 19, 2008. Though the exact terms are disputed, the basic agreement was that Palestinians in Gaza would cease rocket and mortar fire into Israel. In exchange, Israel would end targeted assassinations and incursions into the Strip, as well as lift the siege of Gaza.

For the twelve months before the June 2008 ceasefire, an average of 402 projectiles (including rockets and mortars) hit Israel per month. From July-October 2008, average combined mortar and rocket fire fell to 12 projectiles per month and there were no Israeli incursions into the Gaza Strip.

However, despite the 97% drop in attacks, the truce did not do much to ease the siege of Gaza. Imports increased only marginally. In January 2007, 14,520 truckloads were imported into Gaza. In the first half of 2007, on average, 11,176 commercial truckloads were imported into Gaza on a monthly basis. This average reflects pre-existing restrictions on the movement of goods into Gaza. In particular, Israel further reduced imports into Gaza after the signing of the Mecca Agreement between the Palestinian factions in February 2007, and the formation of the Palestinian national unity government. From July 2007 to June 2008, on average, 2,353 commercial truckloads were imported into Gaza, an 84% drop from imports in January 2007. Nothing was exported. During the first four months of the truce, on average, 3,866 truckloads were imported into Gaza on a monthly basis. This was still only 27% of the amount of goods entering in January 2007 (14,520 truckloads).
In the five months after the ceasefire, from June 19 to the end of October 2008, one Palestinian was killed by Israeli fire while there were no Israeli fatalities. Israel attacked the Strip on November 4th, killing 6 Palestinians and effectively ending the cease-fire.

You can see the chart comparing Hamas and Israeli efforts to observe the terms of the ceasefire here:

http://www.cartercenter.org/resourc...ement_and_fatalities_report FINAL 1 22 09.pdf

Its a fact that Israel never allowed the free flow of humanitarian aid before, during or after the ceasefire. Whether Gaza militants fire rockets into Israel or not makes little difference regarding the amount of humanitarian aid Israel allows into Gaza.

Restricting the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza to a trickle to deliberately cause disease and malnutrition is a crime against humanity.

This is the typical ploy of the morally bankrupt left. "Disproportionate response". It's meaningless and void of ethical integrity.

Hamas and Israel reached a ceasefire agreement on June 19, 2008. Though the exact terms are disputed, the basic agreement was that Palestinians in Gaza would cease rocket and mortar fire into Israel. Again, another ploy of the morally bankrupt. The attacks didn't stop. Period, full stop.

Restricting the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza to a trickle to deliberately cause disease and malnutrition is a crime against humanity.
As you've said time and time again. Aid which is obviously not needed if Gaza has such a surplus of crops, that it plans to export them.

This of course is only compounded by the fact that as has been proven to you in the past. The numbers you cite, are independant aid group numbers. Regular shipments by recognized aid groups, are not factored in, and under treaty, not hindered, hampered or inspected by Israel.

All facts you simply choose to ignore, in favour of holding onto your hatred for the Joos.

So what does that make you EAO?

EAO, cubby, if you really are unbiased, humanists, as you would like to portray yourselves as.

Perhaps you could give me your opinion on this piece from the English version of This Week in Palestine. The only English version news published from within the "occupied" territory.

Someone who knows that facts. Feel free to check my source:

The Carter Center, in partnership with Emory University, is guided by a fundamental commitment to human rights and the alleviation of human suffering; it seeks to prevent and resolve conflicts, enhance freedom and democracy, and improve health.

While the program agenda may change, The Carter Center is guided by five principles:

1. The Center emphasizes action and results. Based on careful research and analysis, it is prepared to take timely action on important and pressing issues.

2. The Center does not duplicate the effective efforts of others.

3. The Center addresses difficult problems and recognizes the possibility of failure as an acceptable risk.

4. The Center is nonpartisan and acts as a neutral in dispute resolution activities.

5. The Center believes that people can improve their lives when provided with the necessary skills, knowledge, and access to resources.
The Carter Center collaborates with other organizations, public or private, in carrying out its mission.

Not that I have much respect for a man, who tried to rewrite history, I can't begrudge the whole of the Carter Center. They have performed good works around the world.

On Israel and Palestine, there is an obvious agenda, to anyone that actually knows the facts. Present company excluded.

From the International Committee of the Red Cross:

The closure imposed on the Gaza Strip is about to enter its fourth year, choking off any real possibility of economic development. Gazans continue to suffer from unemployment, poverty and warfare, while the quality of Gaza's health care system has reached an all-time low.The whole of Gaza's civilian population is being punished for acts for which they bear no responsibility. The closure therefore constitutes a collective punishment imposed in clear violation of Israel's obligations under international humanitarian law.

Gaza closure: not another year!

The work of the ICRC is based on the Geneva Conventions of 1949, their Additional Protocols, its Statutes – and those of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement – and the resolutions of the International Conferences of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. The ICRC is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of war and armed violence. It takes action in response to emergencies and at the same time promotes respect for international humanitarian law and its implementation in national law.

31 May 2010

Israel's military blockade of Gaza has left more than 1.4 million Palestinian men, women and children trapped in the Gaza Strip, an area of land just 40 kilometres long and 9.5 kilometres wide.

Mass unemployment, extreme poverty and food price rises caused by shortages have left four in five Gazans dependent on humanitarian aid. As a form of collective punishment, Israel’s continuing blockade of Gaza is a flagrant violation of international law.

And as I proved to you in the past, using their own words, they have taken upon themselves to try and rewrite, by selective interpretation, international law. Erroneously.

Please EAO, can I get your opinion on the article I cited from This Week in Palestine?

Or are you simply going to ignore what sheds a shadow of doubt on your opinion?

Again, a group that has been proven biased, to interpret international law as they see fit, ignoring precedent and fact, as well as having a core belief that war is a crime. And as I have already mention, thus making any act thereof, or in furtherance to, a crime.

This has been proven to you time and time again EAO. And here you saying it again. Again I ask, when face with incontrovertible facts that negate your pinion, and you hold fast to said opinion, what does that make you?

Malnutrition diseases (Stunting and Emaciation) increase among Gaza's Children
Partners International Medical Aid - 2009-07-06

What's the fault my child has committed to be deprived of even micro-nutrients needed by the body, asks a mother carrying her child.

"My son cannot smile. He cannot even cry because he is so weak. We have no breadwinner and we hardly find the bread," says Um Mohammed Helow.

"Malnutrition among children in the Gaza Strip is worsening because of the lack of micro-nutrients which leads to a marked increase in the number of children who suffer from emaciation and stunting," says the Medical Director of Ard Alinsan Society in Gaza, Dr. Adnan Wheidi.

"The increasing phenomenon of reversal of growth is being caused by malnutrition, which is reflected on the health of Palestinian children, their immunity and physical and mental capacities. There are more than 11.7 percent of children between 6 months and 5 years who suffer from a state of stunting," says Wheidi.

A report of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza tackles impact of poverty on the overall health of the Palestinians, especially children. "There will be a deterioration of living standards that will negatively affect the population health in the long run. Hospitals work with great difficulty because of the procedures imposed by Israel on imports of medical supplies," the report said.

Director of the Office of the World Health Organization in Gaza, Mahmoud Dahir said malnutrition is a chronic situation in the Gaza Strip despite the considerable efforts being made to alleviate this problem.

According to Dr. Dahir, 10 percent of children in the Gaza Strip suffer from chronic malnutrition, 2.4 from severe malnutrition, half of the children suffer from anemia, and about 40 percent of women of reproductive age suffer from the same disease. He warned of the negative impacts of the multiple effects of malnutrition on children in the future, especially on intelligence and mental capacities.

Nutritional Status and Dietary Habits among School Adolescents in three West Bank governorates in the occupied Palestinian territory

What relevance does a nutrition study of three specific areas in the West Bank have to do with the issue of Israel's deliberate attempts to starve 1.5 million Gazans into submission?
Are you really asking that question?

Seriously?

How can 1.5 million people be being staved to death, when there is an obesity issue in any part of the area?

Or is this when you dismiss, ignore or try and dodge reality?

I'm not denying that there isn't malnutrition in Palestine EAO.

What I'm saying is, if there is obesity, and an export of crops, you can not blame Israel

That is a fact.

If you deny it, you are not a humanist, but a propagandist and to be honest, something far more insidious.

Israel's comprehensive blockade of the Gaza Strip, imposed since June 2007, continued to have severe humanitarian and economic consequences for the civilian population, particularly during the war. Hundreds of thousands of people lacked electricity, running water, cooking gas, gasoline and other goods for weeks on end; raw sewage flooded some city streets; hospitals were overcrowded, lacked essential medicines, and were often inaccessible to the wounded.

As of September roughly 20,000 people remained homeless and 10,000 remained without water. Items Israel prohibited from entry included reconstruction materials, chickpeas, dates, macaroni, a water purification system, and 120 truckloads of school supplies. The only exports that Israel allowed consisted of several shipments of carnations.

Israeli officials stated that the blockade would remain in place until Hamas releases Gilad Shalit. The blockade, supported by Egypt at Rafah's Gaza border, amounts to a form of collective punishment of Gaza's 1.5 million civilians in violation of international law. Israel is Gaza's major source of electricity and sole source of fuel, which Israel does not permit from other sources, so its restrictions on their supply cripple transportation as well as water-pumping, sewage, and sanitation facilities.

In September, the office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), a unit of the Israeli defense ministry, severed contacts with Israeli human rights organizations handling individual applications for exit permits from Gaza, even in emergency humanitarian cases. Gaza residents have no direct access to the Israeli military authorities.

How far are you willing to go to maintain your hate for Israel?

Israel restricts the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza, not the West Bank. These are two different places and two different situations. A study regarding three specific areas in the West Bank (very likely the three most prosperous areas in the West Bank.) has no relevance to the situation in Gaza.
