The anger and energy that Samuelsson exhibited after being snubbed for the Swedish Olympic team seems to have dissipated and his hands have turned to hams.

I agree he was better tonight but not good enough.

maybe he was slightly better because of the demotion to 3 rd line.
vineault was very patient with him and left him on the 2nd line long enough,
waiting for him to 'click' in, but he didn't.

hansen is playing far better than samuelsson, and has earned that 2nd line position.

Olympic Games.....I can't wait for the World Junior Championships......probably the best hockey we can look forward to this season.

Flames lose another- Maybe the "Calgary Flickers" would be a more appropriate moniker.

Bring it on Detroit!!!! We got this one! Sedin to Sedin to Burrows ... Goal!!!!!!

yeah, very exciting, big game tomorrow night, two real good teams coming together for a battle.
I love watching detroit play, but tomorrow night, I won't be on their side, and probably two of the
best puck stealers in the league playing against each other, in burrows and datsyuk.

yeah, the junior hockey tournament will be exciting, any time the cream of the crop of leagues are
singled out, and put on teams together, we should expect the best from them, and I'm sure we will get
it, just like we did in the olympics. Juniors don't quite have the maturity or size, but their
energy makes up for that, non stop, and lots of enthusiasm, and they know that the scouts are all
there watching, as they are on the threshhold of the NHL, which is what they have strived for since
little kids. most of them are allready drafted, but not all.

It's a nice time of the year to watch it, right after xmas, which allows all of us to put xmas completely
to bed, and focus on something else, and 'get on with it'.

GO CANUCKS GO

I was keeping an eye on the latter part of the Canuck game on the internet as I was busy wrapping gifts, at one point they were up 4/3 and then when I checked a very few minutes later they had lost in O.T. 5/4. Were those Detroit bastards cheating?

Luongo cost them the game with his old problem-bring on Schneider!

yeah, and i'm sure he's feeling like sh*t right now, that second soft goal lost them the game.

BUT, take a look at the play as it developed, ehrhoff made a feeble attempt to clear the puck out of the
zone, it was an easy play, that he didn't make, and luongo was the final goat on the play, but the
puck should never have come back his way, so i'm sure he is feeling bad too, he knows what he did.

I'm sure schneider is playing tomorrow, it was probably planned that way, nothing to
do with tonights game, he won't have the fire power coming at him that luongo did
tonight, especially in the first period, detroit just kept coming, coming, coming, and when the score was 1-0 at the end of the first I was relieved, as the game
evened out from then on.
Detroit came out to win the game in the first period, they haven't been playing that
good of late, and a good start, then hold down the canucks was obviously their plan,
didn't quite work out that way, turned into an excellent game, too bad canucks only got
the one point, I think they deserved better.

I feel bad for how they must feel, not for myself, I don't expect them to perform
for me, i'm a big girl, and i'm only watching the game not playing, they don't owe
me anything, they owe it to themselves for all the hard work and practice they do,
but it is a grind out there, every game is extremely difficult to win, someone has
to come out on top, at least they got one point.

I will be there to watch, win or lose.

off to columbus tomorrow.

Was it Ehrhoff or Kesler? I seem to remember Kesler lose the puck on an easy out that lead to a goal as well.

Nevertheless, the 65 million dollar man needed to be better.

.

As I've often said, when any other player makes a stupid mistake, play goes on, but when a goalie makes a stupid mistake, it's usually a goal. Last night one mistake led to another, and it cost them the game.

Not a biggie - half the teams playing on any given night lose!

It was ehrhoff.
It may have been the same goal or the one before but Kesler had an easy out on the far side of the ice. I remember thinking to myself when the goal was scored that he now had 4 assists on the evening.

the one i'm referring to was in OT, and it was ehrhoff, piddling around, half shot it out but it didn't
get out, then lost it and the rest is history.

You know, I read that somewhere, still find it hard to believe! Why do those players get so much money, when half of them lose?

let me know when they all start winning all of their games.

it was interesting and amusing when henrik was interviewed between periods, and they asked him
what was wrong with atlanta tonight, and he said they were all over the place, maybe thinking too
much about christmas, leaving lots of skating room.
that line certainly racked up the points.

schneider played fine, but had very few shots, a much different atmosphere than last night against detroit.
and he let in a softie.

the way canucks were buzzing around their goalie, either one of them didn't have much of a chance,
their team left them high and dry, for the vultures to peck away at.

game got a little sloppy mid way thru the 3rd, focus was drifting away, and the score was so out of
whack that I think both teams were just hoping for the end of the game.

canucks play sunday at home against edmonton

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF MY HOCKEY FRIENDS, I WISH THE BEST FOR YOU ALWAYS.

Great Canuck score, too bad Calgary has to win and Edmonton had to lose the shootout. I see S.J. is clawing their way back, it's going to be very competitive in the Western Conf. I hope you taped a couple of games, Talloola so you don't suffer withdrawls over the Xmas break.
