Somehow, in the last dozen games or so, the Canucks have picked up a load of confidence. They have dominated Colorado and they don't seem to care whether it is a home or away game. I guess what is happening, is that they are playing like a first place team. At the moment, I don't know who is going to knock them out of first place. They keep on playing at this level, they will have a sizable lead on everyone. They are the hottest team in the NHL right now.canucks played their best game of this road trip tonight, against san jose. back end of back to back
games didn't phase them at all.
schneider played solid, and burrows was first star, but the whole team was sharp and matched san jose
goal for goal, then scored the extra to win 4-3
they swept this road trip, dallas, colorado and san jose.
they continue to sit 'on top' of the NHL, don't know about others, but for me this is very exciting
and this team is just rolling right now, at the half-way mark of the season.
salo is travelling and skating with the team, but when he steps on the ice they will have dropped
a little over a million of cap space, so maybe they will wait as long as they can, to see just how
they will do that.
no hurry to put him back in the line-up, the team is humming along just fine without him.
HOME NOW - calgary wed., edmonton fri., and detroit sat.
GO CANUCKS GO
Heard Gillis talking about Salo today, and he said that the injury is still bothering
him, a very serious injury, which can take a very long time to heal. The 'heal'
area, so they are not hurrying him along at all, in fact he hinted that he might
not play at all this season, but no confirmation either way.
