The $100 million that is being spent on tourism grants as part of the stimulus package is significantly more likely to be be approved in a Conservative riding. Grants were awarded in 76% of Conservative ridings that applied for funding, compared to 55% in Liberal ridings. 56% in Bloc ridings, and 57% in NDP ridings. However the proportion of the funds allocated was much more even, with 29% of the program funds going to Conservative ridings, 25% to Liberal ridings, 23% to Bloc ridings, and 22% to NDP ridings.

Just setting a standard for the next Liberal government I suppose.

Actually thats following the Liberal standards of the past, which is something Harper and Co. vowed to get away from but again fail to do... this my biggest disappointment with the CPC: they promised change in the way business was done in Ottawa but its no different than the Liberals or PCs to come before (regardless of all the mock/uninformed outrage of some)...

I'm not sure there is any way they could distribute the money and keep everybody happy.

So again we see that the Conservatives break promises, do exactly what the Liberals do when they are in power, and lie simply to get elected. What does that say about Conservative supporters? Are they disappointed like the Liberal ones?
