The damn shame of it all.........Obama has polarized American politics.....the centre loses.

Obama has polarized American politics?

You mean, it wasn't polarized back when people were ranting about a fixed/rigged election in Florida, ridiculous attempts to impeach a President and all that nonsense?
From what I can see, it's been severely polarized since Clinton won, and it only gets a little worse every 4 years.

There's no way that Obama polarized it.

McCain was the man that could have worked with both sides.

So far, Obama has been a dismal failure........

but, he still has time......

Obama polarized it?

I think 24 hour news polarized it.

McCain was the better choice? The guy that chose Palin without knowing what an idiot she was? Give me a break.

I'll agree, Obama has been a failure but for different reasons than you. The guy has no balls, he had full control of both houses and he couldn't get an almost meaningless health bill passed. Bush just ramed crap down peoples throat and shat all over the constitution yet no calls by the right about consultation and bipartisan legislation.

Personally I think Hillary Clinton would have been a better choice.

Obama polarized it?

You mean didn't cause Americans to march by the 100s of thousands against his war???

''Hispanics made the difference in California's win for Dem Jerry Brown''

I watched a report on RT television and it was confirmed that Hispanics gave Brown the margin of victory in California. No surprise. I bet Smackie is depressed now, LOL!

Hispanics also gave Rubio his overwhelming win in Florida. They are a very powerful and growing group. Hola from the new America.

We were polarized probably back as far as Clinton. Lets hope this past election 2010 can bring us back together. We don't need another two years trying to go over what Obama did again. Tweak them maybe. Palin probably would have been fine as a Vice President to McCain. After McCain seemed to have his meltdown I was sort of hoping that Hillary Clinton would have jumped in she could have beaten them all.

I've said it over and over.....now Americans are about to show how right I was....

The USA elected the wrong man.

McCain should have won.

Too old and has health issues.

Hillary is too stuck on herself and she tells lies. (which they all do but she got caught in hers)

Yup, the guy just quietly went about doing his job while the country was whipped into a frenzy by hysterical loons. It was impossible to hear anything above the yelling and screaming of "COMMUNIST, Nazi, Empty Suit, Traitor", etc. etc. The media followed the noise because it sells ink and air time and failed to present the facts. Who owns the media, again? No hidden agenda there!

Actually, all this stuff...

PolitiFact | The Obameter: Obama's Campaign Promises that are Promise Kept

...kind of proves that Obama is the most productive President in decades.

Yes I have to concede that Obama did pretty much what he wanted. What is missing are what the people wanted and how they wanted something done. These were not what the people wanted, they were what Obama wanted. He told us, we did not tell him. Daddy telling small child. Daddy just got spanked.

Puuuhleeeze. McCain could do all that stuff in his sleep!

Anyway, we all know the real reason for this bi-polarization.

1.) The repubs paying off fox to spew propaganda
2.) The tea party existing (and being funded as well by republicans) and
3.) making mosque 9/11 into some national state of emergency (also instigated by republicans)

It should be pretty obvious by now, unless your brain works on some 24-hour cycle.

Those accomplishments of Obama that are listed are from his 2008 campaign platform. So, the people that voted him into office wanted them. Those same people can't very well now say, "Obama, you're doing things I didn't want you to do". For what else are we to expect from an elected official if not to carry out the promises he made in his platform once he gets elected? If the American people are looking to punish someone for Obama doing the things he fully said he was going to do, they should punish themselves.

And you're trying to tell me that Obama is the arrogant one.

It's okay Icarus - this is what has led to the current state. Most voters just haven't done the necessary research for the objective facts. They'll pick and choose small fragments and propaganda to fit their view, and that becomes sensationalized. Kinda like posting a picture of Obama in front of a devastated Hiroshima and making it look like he was the cause. It's all very deep-level analysis you know.

Cliffy, do youself a favour and buy and read:

Book Details - A Slobbering Love Affair

I think it's ridiculous that someone would trust the word of some blabbering head on cable (which is what the author of that book is) over the President of the United States. I just can't take seriously a guy who can edit down his points in a short 5-minute long interview segment on TV, which is what that guy does repeatedly.

But you have no quams about the character assaination they butchered him with after he took office. The media are hypocritical, with selective retention and focus on what sells print and air time, sensatioanalizing everything without regard for truth or rights. Hopefully, some day in the not too distant future, the general public will grab some brains and stop relying on biased media for their "information". But I am not holding my breath.

Northern Ontario,
Everybody knows that media is only biased when you perceive it to be against your side in politics, whether the broadcast is accurate or not:lol:

Since I don't have a political leaning, being an anarchist and all, I don't see any media reports that are not biased. Not only that, they only report on events that support their bias and very little else. If a person relies only on the media for information, they are missing large chunks of it and thus are unable to make informed decisions. Instead all we get is emotional hysteria from both right and left and very little substance. I truly believe this is an intentional dumbing down of the general populace.

Hey a thought occurred to me ~ now that Republicans have the majority in the House, Supreme Court, and near majority in the Senate do you suppose they will soon come up with an

IMPEACH OBAMA!

campaign in the near future?

Let's face it, the Republicans will use any and every excuse to harass and disrupt the Democratic presidential administrations while the Dems always kiss up to them. I seriously believe they will dream up an excuse or series of excuses for doing so. Seriously now. I ain't kidding. And it's not them who I blame but the stupidity and passivity of the Dems.

What do you think?

Since Democrat/Republican are in fact the same party with two different names, the only possible reason to impeach Obama would be to further the illusion of a democracy/republic. Until Americans get that they only have a one party system that is slight schizophrenic in nature, nothing will ever really change or get accomplished.

But the U.S. ranks in the TOP Five countries for living the good life.

Norway
Australia
New Zealand
United States
Ireland

UNITED NATIONS (AFP) – The going only seems to get better in Norway which on Thursday was named by the United Nations as the country with the best quality of life for a record-matching eighth time.
The UN's annual A-to-Z of global wealth, poverty, health and education highlighted in its 20th anniversary edition though that despite "growth surges" in the Asia-Pacific region it is becoming ever more difficult to break into the rich club of nations.

The Republicans have no idea what to do other than spew out the same mantra over and over again...even dumbocrats are doing it now.

Cut taxes.

Taxes need to raised unless the public wants deep cuts in the military, medicaid and education.

You can't depend on growth forever, that system is unsustainable.

When asked what they would cut, suddenly the Republicans can't speak or spew out something about a 9/11 Mosque to duck and hide from the real issues.

People who are sheep like supporters of the Republicans should send a message to Washington and burn their medicaid cards when they trun 65.
