Have you had enough time to research and come to an informed opinion on Hams and Hezbollah - Like I mentioned earlier on another thread - I have the patience of a vulture. Most times that is.

I don't personally consider their actions a justification for why erecting the mosque is tasteless, primarily on the basis that the location and activity within the mosque/community center is not promoting terrorism. You can disagree with that, but it won't change my mind unless you can prove that the purpose of this mosque is to deliberately promoting terrorism.

You can also feel that it is tasteless on the basis of the events of 9/11 or the Imam's controversial statements, but I personally wouldn't. It's just fine and dandy with me if a similar event to 9/11 happened in my city and a religious building was later erected by the religious faction that those extremists came from - whether they were islamic extremists, christian extremists, judaic extremists, taoist extremists, buddhist or hindu extremists.

Of course, this flies in the face of the almost-koran burning, which is undeniably an aggressive attempt at creating discord. Every sane person already acknowledged that that act would be uncontroversially tasteless.

Ground Zero Imam Threatens America With Attack If Mosque Not Built

More

Sure sounds like blackmail to me

add to that that the govn't managed to convince the silly precher to not burn the quran
way to go:roll:
Let's just keep bending over until sharia law comes to north America
Another example of political correctness gone nuts:violent1:

Strange that. He's saying something similar to what Peter McKay said about the Qur'an burning, and no accusations of blackmail there.

The above question was your opinion on these Terror Orgs - Not related to the Mosque debate directly.

So I will wait for your reply.

Well then to what end do you want my opinion on them?

To find out where you stand on certain organizations - Most people have an opinion either for or against Hamas and or Hezbollah -

I had asked the question some time ago, - you informed me that you had not had enough time to make an informed opinion so I am waiting. Do you need more time?

I don't really feel like it right now to be quite honest. There's quite a bit of material to dissect, so can you give me the coles notes version?

Then I would be influencing your opinion - Like any opinion it should be arrrived at by yourself without interference - The net is full of info.BUt, If you want a very short opinion of what they stand for then I can do that. But it is up to you.

Most of you, probably 97% or more have no idea other than what you read about Islamic terrorists and what they can do, news media does not always report everything. Freedom of speech and religion is all very nice and something we take for granted. Both Canada and the U.S. practice freedom of speech and religion, but do you really know what that means. Some of us have actually seen first hand what these terrorist who happen to practice a twisted form of Islamic Jihad actually do. First of all they hide behind our freedoms while planning their attacks. Yes, we have been very lucky in the past 9 years and we have caught a few before they struck. The main problem is that we have not put a end to it. We are being held back by our very leaders who also do not understand what they sent our soldiers up against. By calling everything off right now will not end terrorism and most likely will bring it again to our shores. It is time to stop hiding behind the bravery of others. You want your Freedoms, well help fight for their preservation. As I have said before, I have no objection to another mosque being built, I do not want to see it used as a trophy. Build it two blocks further away.

Why should a Muslim mosque be built on the site that Muslim extremists killed 3000 people in the name of Allah/God?

It does not matter that a strip club, gambling parlor exist on that site, they did not and were not responsible for those murders. It was Muslim extremists who perpetrated this and they who created this hallowed ground by their actions. They should not be rewarded, unless they themselves turn in Osama Bin Laden for trial. The Imam is wrong in his conclusions.

Imam says NYC mosque site is not 'hallowed ground' - Yahoo! News

This place will only become a place for demonstration in the future.

Please let me reword your text to:

It does not matter that mosque exists on that site, they did not and were not responsible for those murders. It was Muslim extremists who perpetrated this and they who created this hallowed ground by their actions. They should not be rewarded, unless they themselves turn in Osama Bin Laden for trial. The Imam is right in his conclusions since extremists, and not practicing Muslims, perpetrated those acts.

How come when extremists in the U.S./Canada, even Mexico eventually get caught while extremists living in the Mid East seem to be protected even by those they murder. I think there is a difference between us.

And you fail to realize that jihadist don't give a sh*t if another muslim dies in the process
TheReligionofPeace - Myths of Islam
Imam Feisal and Prophet Muhammad: Peace Builders by the Sword

Prove it. many of you just as bad as the American people who voted for bush and many of them believe obama is a muslims. many of you act like only christians jeews and other religon other than muslims died. which is not true.

see unlike most adults who think well if they don't follow my religon there out to get us we should deny them there every right of freedom of religon and free speech cause we don't like them and we think muslims attack us.

that is the normal thinking of many americans. here the real thought reasons for other people who acutally use there wits for good not evil.
1. they own land
2. muslims die more than once in the conutnry
3. if you so what to tie every muslim up to the twin towers why don't you tie up every chiristain that bomb us. oh yea wait... there a double stanadrd in that.
4. many people who are muslims in the usa are being target and can't live a normal life.

cause you losers have to be judgmental and make billions of millions things up. get rid of religon all togather it be much more peaceful place.

here another fact we are going to get attack its just the way live is there is going to be another attack the government can't stop there likey be more wars since guys are just clueless

really how many religons are really peaceful in realigon has some bag of hidden serects.

I'd clean up the grammar/spelling if you get a chance, because some here are going to take the opportunity to jump on your post for that alone.

Northern Ontario,
I decided against quoting your post.... because from the composition of your post because from this line...
3. if you so what to tie every muslim up to the twin towers why don't you tie up every chiristain that bomb us. oh yea wait... there a double stanadrd in that.
You are either a muslim using a bad translator program.......
Or a Westerner with a bad case of "dysgraphia"
So what comes out in the text might not be your true opinion
so an argument is an exercise in futility........Cheers:smile:
