The explanation of the sphericity of Moon:
Moon was part of Earth and it detached from it; that happened when both Earth and Moon were very hot and not very rigid; so when both Earth and Moon went on spinning they about acquired the spherical shape. But then Moon, much lesser than Earth, lost its heat before Earth; and so Moon stopped its spinning, while Earth kept on spinning around itself.
So how did it get oblate?

I'd like to clear up the water above the firmament bible BS. Does land sit above the ol' salt chuck? Yes! Do lakes and river sit and flow atop the land and ol' salt chuck? YES! That's how you get water above the ground aka firmament. Simple huh?

This may be in the Torah re-written by Ezra: simply the Torah of Ezra not the Torah of God.
The Torah [or Hebrew Bible] of Ezra

There is nothing like this in the Glorious Quran, but prior to the creation of the heavens and the earth ( the planets including Earth) , the throne of the Lord was upon the water vapor scattered in the space.

As in the Quran 11: 7

وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَق السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاء...الخ

The explanation:
(It is [God] Who created the heavens and the earth in six days [: six thousand years], and His throne had been upon the water [vapor] …)

Why does he need to sit?

It is said as such in the Quran استوى على العرش i.e. He mounted the throne.
And I asked Abu Abd Allah about this: he said: it is as such God mounted the throne as He sit on the chair; Glory be to God.

I said to him: How can that be true?

He said: It is written as such in the Quran, and I derive the interpretation from another aya about Noah: God said to him as in the Quran 23: 28

The explanation:
(And when you [Noah] have mounted on the Ark together with those with you, then say: "Praise be to God Who has saved us from the people of the wrong-doing.")

Also it is written in the Torah: the Psalms of David:
Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth: sing praise to the Lord. Sing to God Who mounted above the heaven of heavens.” [(Psalm 67: a psalm of canticle for David himself – 33-34)]

The "heaven of heavens" means the throne because it is situated over the ethereal heavens.

This is not any error; it was certainly hotter and it was spinning at the start.
And that's completely typical of your misapprehensions. Certainly the moon was hotter and was spinning faster than it is now at its formation, but that isn't why it's round. Take a first year physics course, then you might have something meaningful to say in this conversation. If you continue to rely on the Quran and al-Hilly for your knowledge of physics, you will continue to be wrong.

God mounted a throne? I thought mounting goats was bad enough. Now we have gods mounting inanimate objects. That is really perverse.

Why a throne? Couldn't get the merkabah running?

Because He is the True Monarch; and His servants below His throne rejoicing in Paradise and fear of Him when He is above them.

As in the Quran 16: 50 about the angels in Paradise or the kingdom of heavens:
يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ
The explanation:
(They fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded.)

No of course, if it is hot and not solid to start with, it will be spherical when it will spin.

You will keep up with hindering people from the Quran until you will perish and lose.

They will never disobey Him when they see the doom of Hell for disbelievers.

And people of Paradise will say as in the Quran 37: 58-61

The explanation:
(Is it [the case] that we shall not die [in Paradise]!?"

"Except our first death [in the World],

and [that] we shall not be punished [because we shall never disobey God.]"

This [indeed] is the mighty triumph.

Then let workers work for such [prosperity.])

Haha! I just crapped my pants. I do not fear god on Earth and I certainly have no ambition to fear god in paradise. My creator is a loving and benevolent being, not the psychopath that you worship.

If you truly believe in God you will not dare reviling Him and will certainly fear Him.

Nice; I'm condemned because I don't believe as you do. Also typical of your massive ignorance. The moon is not spherical because it was once hot and liquid, it's spherical (approximately) because it's large enough that its gravitational potential overwhelms the rigidity of the rocks it's made from. Spinning doesn't make things spherical, in the extreme it makes them disk-shaped, and in lesser circumstances it makes them bulge at the equator. I'm not hindering anyone from the Quran, anybody who wants to can read it. I'm just offering the well-founded and readily defensible opinion that as a source of scientific information it's worse than useless, it's actively misleading.

You really don't get it, do you? If your god wants you to fear him, he is an imposter. There is nothing to fear but fear itself. If you need to scare people into believing in the Quran by spreading fear of god, I am sure that you will fail miserably, which may just piss off your god, since he seems to have a very short fuse when it comes to people screwing up his plan.

Could it be that his very limited comprehension of the English language makes his translations of Hilly's rather radical interpretation of the Quran incomprehensible and his attempts to explain his scientific understanding equally incomprehensible? I say this because no matter how much I read of his translations and how hard I try to understand what it says, I find it completely unintelligible. It makes absolutely no sense to me.
