"appointing people to posts when congress is on vacation or taking a rest"
Naturally, it was OK when Bush did it but that's because he's a Republican.

And he will be judged in the very same manner that every other president has been.
I don't understand what you're driving at here; other than the civil war, when has America not been in one piece?
Again, what's your point? Obama knew exactly what he was signing-up for when he ran. All that this diatribe offers is a pre-fabricated excuse for Obama not generating the results/promises that he based his platform on.
The Democrats had full control of both houses... They didn't need the support of the Republicans - yet, he still wasn't able to get 100% traction... The Dems could have rammed any legislation through the house(s). The reason that he's had trouble is that he can't get full support from his own party.
This no longer has anything to do with Bush or the Republican party - really man, get over it already and see things for what they are.
"Barack Obama’s deep bow to the emperor of Japan and earlier bow to the Saudi Arabian king is so deeply offensive to America’s history and traditions that it cannot and must not be explained away in any fashion."
We've gone over this already as Nixon bowed to the Japanese emperor and Bush kissed the Saudi King.
My point hasn't changed, unlike the last adminstration Obama is doing his best in an admittedly flawed system to reunite the country that has been driven apart by the Republicans and the religious far right.
And he's doing it without the cooperation of the Republicans who helped create the current crisis.
Yes Obama will be judged by his results, the Republicans will also be judged by their actions in opposing him.
Can we really compare Obama to Bush anyway, I think America is better off with a real president than just a placeholder like Bush was for Cheney?
All I know is Obama makes me proud to be an American again something that what Bush and Cheney were doing to the nation made it hard to feel.
Go ahead and criticize Obama, the real problem is the lack of accountability in the US created by powerful lobbies like defence, healthcare insurers and Wall Street. I think Obama has balls going after the company -Goldman Sachs- that was his #2 campaign contributor(and McCains #4).
As did the Democrats. They controlled both houses when the shyte hit the fan. Bush was a lame duck his last two years in office.
Oh, quite. Republicans are going to end up with a veto proof majority in the Senate, more than 400 seats in the House. Then Republicans will be able to govern, Obama will simply be the rubber stamp president. We're going to see in November aren't we.
Of course...you're a Liberal Democrat.
See how this administration rewards these guys? AIG just got there 3rd round of tax payer bonuses. One under Bush and two under Obama thus far. I thought Obama was different too. He dissapointed me on that one.
I see we are slowly going back to his ad hominen attacks on Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh when out of arguments same old same old.....
Speaking of 'Lame duck", how come we get a lame duck President on his first term? What is with you and Republicans, your a foreigner, you, democrats/republicans should mean nothing or very little to you. Now these guys are yours, how come we don't hear much about them?Whether lame duck or not, he was very much the president, the meltdown occurred under his watch. He gets most of the blame for it, and that is how American people saw it.

Heaven will have appeared on earth. If you want really the Kingdom of Christ to return, maybe Republicans will make Joan of Arc the real power, make her the de facto president (they can do that with veto proof majority in the Senate), take policy directions from her (and of course, from Rush 'drug addict' Limbaugh).
Can that be really any different from Second Coming?

And you are a conservative Republican.
One under Bush, are you saying something against Bush? Wash your mouth with soap. Or still better, go back and check your 'facts', you will probably find that it was zero under the saintly Bush and three under the Spawn of the Devil, Obama.

Right. Same ol' Joey. Nothing new.
