Clever, but not very accurate. I find it interesting that the president who was in power when the US recession struck is not on the last bill. That would be G.W. Bush. Obama is attempting to correct the mess the previous administration caused and is in no way responsible for the high rate of US unemployment.

I suppose the Bush Administration had a part in a very small way in the "mess" that was caused largely by world conditions, the sub prime mortgages and C.E.O.'s greed in taking hefty (criminal) bonuses. It would be a stretch to lay much of the blame on Bush personally as it would be to heap credit on Obama when the economy straightens out. Any competent administration has safeguards built into the system to adequately handle any "loose cannons on the deck".:smile::smile:

Just for the record, Alexander Hamilton ($10.00) and Benjamin Franklin ($100.00) were never President.

Yep, and Thos. Jefferson is one the Yankee deuce. Maybe it's time for them to start putting new faces on. George and Abe should likely stay but I think the rest could be more in line with the times. Jackson could be replaced with Reagan, Grant could be replaced with Truman, Franklyn could be replaced with Edison and Hamilton could be replaced with ??????????, possibly a woman.

Speaking of currency, I was talking to the Canadian Mint one day arguing about currency and by accident she gave out a Canadian secret that all Canadian currency paper is made in Munich, Germany.

Funny how Canada as one of the largest paper exporters shops in Munich, Germany for it's currency paper.

Reminds me of the counterfeiter (not a direct descendent of Einstein) who realized he'd made an $18 bill by mistake, so figured he may be able exchange it by taking it to a store way out in the boondocks of the upper Ozarks. "Shore" the proprieter says, "how do want... it two 9s or three 6s?"

Yes, you are right. The problem goes back a very long way. The USA has not been very well served by many of its leaders of the last fifty years, and I include most members of the US Congress who have done so little to curb the powers of the corporate elite in the US.

the only heroes in the US are in Hollyweird movies. I say their moola should have pics of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, Arnie as the Terminator, Bruce Willis in Die Hard and Zena the Princess Warrior. Pretty sad when your heroes are fictitious characters, but to be expected from an artificially inseminated culture.

A few others come to mind, Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, John D. Rockefellar........I don't think ALL their heros were confined to the movies.....

Wow, you really are old!!!

I suppose, but I think you have to wait until these guys are a long time dead before you make public heros out of them....................just to make sure the closets are clear of all skeletons. You wouldn't want the friendly face on your $5 bill turn out to be a reknowned pimp or pedophile.......................:lol::lol:

You mean they aren't already?

I think one can find something unsavoury on just about anyone, if one was so inclined.

I suppose on further thought guys like N. Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins and John Glenn may be safe to heroize.

And there lies the problem with finding personages suitable to put on the money.
Given the very nature of money...Bozo the Clown , Howdy Dowdy, Bonnie and Clyde, Old Scarface and a few others come to mind...;-)
