If I want to enjoy a brew and wings on a patio, I don't want to be smelling and breathing second hand smoke. As far as I am concerned smokers should butt out.For any purpose? ................besides being obnoxious.......![]()

Its pretty simple. The cab is a workplace, and smoking is banned in all work places. If the operator owns the truck, there could be a problem with that.

Have you ever been in a welding shop?Because the working stiffs have the right to health and security of person... how bizarre we don't extend that to kids yet hey?

Have you ever been in a welding shop?
No, the workplace.I've been around welding, yeah. From what I've seen WCB has ventilation and safety guidelines in place to attempt to minimize the risk of a necessary part of the job of a welder. Are you trying to compare the unalterable nature of welding with the completely alterable issue of smoking around children?
Smoking is banned in all workplaces in Ontario, yes.Is that in the Charter?.........................:smile:
You could always enjoy the brew and wings inside where smoking is banned just for people like you.
No, the workplace.
Because people like you want everything and want everything all your way.I could, but why should I?

Smokers have the same rights as anyone else. No-one has the right to do harm to anyone else, though, and smoke is harmful.Because people like you want everything and want everything all your way.
Why can't smokers have a space too? Are they not paying customers? People with rights?

Karrie, I'm tired and really not in the mood to rehash the afternoon, if you care to go back and read what I have written in regards to the Charter, the abuse of the Highway Traffic Act, please do so at your leisure. If you read the Charter, Bear, which right do you suppose should take precedent? The right to smoke or the right to not inhale toxins? From what I can see, only one of those is covered, and the right to smoke isn't it.
Twila, at no time have I stated it was OK. Merely unconstitutional and a major breach of rights.
