again, it was a small percentage of the Priesthood. Tarring the entire Priesthood, or like the other ignorant bastard in here, tarring the entire Roman Catholic Church and it's members is ignorant in the least.

..Not, I am not saying that at all, the priesthood of innocent Priests would consist of 90%, in no way shape or form I hold them responsible. The 10% is the problem, that 10% globally would be a significant number of them. Globally we are not talking about 10 sexual assaults. Through the years the number of sexually abused people by church members is significant.
Nothing ignorant about that assertion. We see people coming out speaking now that are 65 years old, and also today we discover new cases Priest taking sex vacations in Asia and getting caught. Big problem.

I agree there is a problem, and, like many members of the RCC, feel it is past time for something to be done. A thorough house cleaning is in order. My Faith in our present Pope is shaken, but that is not to say my base Faith is in any way shaky.

A mistake was made when the cover ups started and has snowballed. It is time for all those responsible for shuttleing aberrant Priests and lay people around instead of prosecuting them and ensuring that they no longer had access to victims, to come clean and step down. This would include the Holy See as even the appearance of impropriety is enough to tarnish the position.

"There is so much turmoil!" sighed the Pope
"And I'm reaching the end of my rope!
So, to relax, of course,
I go to the golf course
With Faith, Charity and Hope".

No, there is nothing ignorant about that, though I think your numbers are high. What is ignorant are things like your joke and the "Priest off" video.

I have admitted that it is wrong, and I have explained that it is anger driven.
you want me to apologize for that? if it makes you feel better I do.

I would not want to be associated with an organization that seems to condone sexual abuse. I am shocked the catholic church still has a following.

for those of you that are just too damn stupid to at least use google.

Pope Benedict was born April 16 1927 which would have made him 12 years old when WWII started.

That has to be the worst crime known to man. When we see Hockey players and other people from all walks of life, come out and brake the silence, is proof of the damage inflicted on defenceless human beings, such as a 5-10 YEAR OLD LEARNING TO PLAY HOCKEY!

That is the worst crime known to man also the worst predator known to man.
All these bend wasted minds who go on sex vacation in countries were one can buy a young boy for the night for penis, are also people who were abused sexually when 5-10.

However the mind controls the body, while sex has involved from the method of reproduction and intimacy between loving adults, it has for many become an addiction. That addiction with no moral boundaries has found it self in the Vatican.

A bad day for humanity, :angryfire:

maybe we can learn from the many people who have gone public, enforce savvier penalties on predators, thus reducing the number of abuse thus insuring that we can one day have totally vaccinated this disease or addiction.

How has it found itself in the Vatican? Was Benedict a diddler too? Loyalty is a funny thing ... kinda like party politics.
No not a diddler, but who knows, this below proves secrecy, and that is wrong,

– The Vatican’s insistence on secrecy in the investigation of these cases by church authorities does not mean bishops or others are exempt from reporting these crimes to civil authorities (a point made in our recent article on the same topic.)

– Since 2001, when the doctrinal congregation took over juridical control of accusations of sex abuse by priests against minors, it has processed about 3,000 cases, dealing with crimes committed over the last 50 years. About 60 percent of theses cases involved sexual attraction towards adolescents of the same sex, 30 percent involved heterosexual relations, and the remaining 10 percent were cases of pedophilia
– Most cases have been handled without a church trial, because of the advanced age of the accused, and the penalties in such cases has usually been the imposition of strict limitations on the priest’s ministry. About 20 percent of cases resulted in a church trial, with most of the accused found guilty. In the most serious cases, about 10 percent of the total, the pope has dismissed the offender from the priesthood, and in another 10 percent the priest has been laicized at his request.

Want to know the part of it all I found most offensive?

A few years ago I was in the Sturgeon Falls Court. While waiting for buddy's go at His Honour, a priest was there to get a change in venue. Obviously it was a last ditch effort to buy some time because he was hoping to change the trial to English ... but could barely understand the language.

His offence? Something to do with 12 to 15 year old boys in the diocese.

Now, in my time, if one had done something disrespectful to the uniform, one removes the uniform. Could this guy go for the black suit and white collar? Nope.... He was in full length cassock with rosary almost to the floor.
