What I'd like to know is where were all these "patriots" when Bush and Cheney were gutting the Constitution and letting the nation go to hell just to make a few bucks for themselves and their buddies.

I am not missing any point, TenPenny. I use the term 'tea bagger' strictly as a short form of 'tea party supporters' and nothing else. I couldn't care less how others take it.
It is your right to like or dislike anybody you want. But when the teabaggers shout epithets like 'nigg*r' or 'fagg*t', they are clearly stepping over the line. That is what we are discussing here, not your right to like or dislike somebody.

Quite so. Where were the teabaggers when Bush introduced his huge stimulus package? All the Republicans enthusiastically supported it. There was not a pip out of teabaggers. Where were the teabaggers when Bush and Republicans were running deficits in excess of 550 billion $? Again, not a pip out of them.
If teabaggers are motivated by too much government intrusions into their lives, where were they when Republicans were intruding into their lives in a big way? The answer is, they were in Washington influencing the policies.
That is why I don’t buy this nonsense that they are motivated by ‘dictatorship of the government’. When Republicans were in power there was nothing but ‘dictatorship of government’. Republicans in creased government spending big time, more than what Clinton did, they racked up huge deficits.
Where were the teabaggers then, with their disgust of too much government? They were influencing, directing the policy in Washington at that time.
Teabaggers are just the extreme faction of the Republican Party, I seriously doubt they are motivated by government intrusion into their lives. They did not mind Republican intrusion into their life one bit, there was not a pip out of them. They only object to democratic intrusion into their lives.

Give me a break, it's nowhere along the same level as the other terms you mentioned. Tea-Baggers may be a derogatory term but it certainly doest not share the type of history n*gger or f*ggot does.
Tea bagging is a sexual act which is used by some on the left/mainstream to describe the Tea Party Movement whereas the other two are insults aimed at specific peoples, ie gays & blacks, if you can't see the difference you really are daft. No ambiguity there, Jacko.
Again, you are changing the subject. You are trying to talk about everything except the subject of the thread, the racist and homophobic behavior of the teabaggers.
That is exactly the point David Frum, the Republican activist made. He thought that passing of the health care reform was a huge defeat for Republicans. He is not in politics any more and is free to speak his mind.
And he puts the blame on the tea party, and the fact that Republicans were swayed by the tea party supporters.
Teabagger are products of the Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck neo-con advocacy. They have little to do with real conservatism, hence the almost complete submergence of the issue of abortion funding, a key social conservative platform.. to the LIBERTARIAN nonsense of 'socialism' and 'attacks on freedom'.
The only entities whose freedom is really infringed by those they target, supporters national and institutional regulation and 'fair trade' , is the Global Investment Organism, which funds neoconservative 'talk radio' and which works to the detriment of nations and workers for their own enrichment.
