I agree with JLM. Let's move on...the thread is about a dream candidate for 2012. Now be serious...who would you rather be dreaming of tonight - Obama or Sarah Palin?

Never mind all the diatribe about left wing, right wing, religion, acolytes, etc. - adhering strictly to the thread topic, my vote would be for Sarah!

Your vote would be for Sarah, for what? About dreaming tonight or about nominating her as the Republican candidate?

If you want to nominate her as the Republican candidate, I am all for it. Go for it, more power to you. I look forward to the contest between Obama and Joan of Arc.

As to dreaming tonight, I can think of many more beautiful, more gorgeous women to dream about (including my wife) than Joan of Arc

SirJosephPorter, in his inimitable style, once again put his foot in his mouth by bringing up a topic I was prepared to bury, by saying:

"let us not go there, YJ. It is not relevant to the topic. But I did nail you many times (remember our argument over Drudge Report?)."

Way back then he suggested - nay, insisted - that The Drudge Report was a conservative website. I readily admitted that anything written by Matt Drudge, himself, tends to be right wing, but the site itself is every bit liberal as it is conservative, presenting links to both liberal and conservative sites and authors in roughly equal measure.

It was also about that time that SirJosephPorter also insisted that Chris Matthews of MSNBC was a Rebublican.

I fully undrestand that some of these posts are off topic, but I'll be damned if I let nonsense like that go unanswered.

I know you are not open to suggestions, TenPenny. But my advice to you is, just drop it, you are getting deeper and deeper into it. Stick to the topic at hand.

"Walter seems to have a personal liking for Sarah."

Far more natural than the personal liking of many (supposedly) male posters here, for Hussain Obama. Especially some who are staunch defenders of anyhthing gay.

I think a lot of normal males have an equal liking for Obama and Palin, but in different capacities.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

You keep saying that. But I asked you once and I ask you again, what can people do? They have only two options, vote Democratic or Republican.

I assume you mean that next time they will vote Republican. And you may be right, but how is that going to fix the problem? People were thoroughly disgusted with Republicans in 2006 and 208, how long do you think before they get disgusted with Republicans again? Then what, vote Democratic again?

When the two parties dig their heels in, when there is no desire to dialog, to cooperate, to come to a bipartisan solution, the system is broken, people cannot do a thing about it (except to vote out the party in power).

American system is broken, that is. Canadian system is based upon such adversarial relationship, it works just fine.

SJP: We have taken other options in our past, were are not stuck with two obvious options.

Palin, Dubya, and Clinton: Buzz Week in Review

Just because a politician is out of public office, that doesn't mean he or she is out of the public eye. This past week, ex-Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin made big news at a Tea Party event in Tennessee, where she was spotted with some curious crib notes. Meanwhile, up in Minnesota, an odd billboard featuring former President George W. Bush loomed over confused motorists. Take a look back at those mysterious stories and more with the Buzz Week in Review.
