Oh, he is pretty smart all right. That is why Joan of Arc has an approval rating of 26%, well down from what she had a year ago.
She's not running for President at the moment. You must know that polls change, and a lot can happen between now and 2012.
Surely not. Are you saying that a Democrat can ever show any leadership qualities? Surely all the candidates who show leadership qualities are Republicans (Joan of Arc of course, being the best of the bunch, at least according to her acolytes).
No,
you have inferred that. I tend to try (not always successfully) to avoid making silly & sweeping statements like that because I recognize that there are many different people involved and I tend to try and not paint them all with the same brush.
And I try not to do a lot of name calling either...it tends to not only look stupid, but it demeans whatever credibility the author might have had in the first place. I'd rather use real terms and names in order to keep the discussion from degenerating into schoolyard-style name calling.
Quite so. lack of knowledge, lack of intelligence, inability to speak a sentence coherently, lack of experience, not being able to answer a question without reading her crib notes, high negatives among women, all these qualities will stand her in good steed.
Knowledge - Having it is one thing, knowing how to apply it to produce results is another.
Intelligence - We might have different definitions of this one. Does your definition include making up silly names for people with whom you disagree? Or is that an indication of other problems? Just curious...
Inability to speak a sentence coherently - Sometimes people encounter a "selective hearing problem" when their views are so extreme they are blinded (or deafened) by the facts.
Lack of experience - in what? Running a state? Encountering real life problems and dealing with them? Or just playing political games with very little accountability for the results?
Crib notes - References only, which is a sign of an accomplished speaker. The not-so-accomplished ones have to rely on a word-for-word written form, which comes in the form of a teleprompter these days.
High negatives among women - I consider males or females to be voters, and my views aren't obscured by gender prejudices.
Me a bit extreme? Surely you jest. Anyway your fellow acolyte, YJ, has already predicted that Joan of Arc will sweep all 50 states in 2012. Surely his crystal ball cannot be wrong.
Extreme? Well, you might be right. If I could have come up with a stronger superlative, I would have used it.
My "fellow acolyte" has responded to your allegation separately, so I'll refrain from comment on this unproven statement. Anyway, I'm not sure what YJ's comment would have to do with this discussion...he's perfectly capable of speaking for himself...even though you might not like what he has to say.
Anyway, so we are both agreed. We both hope that Joan of Arc wins the Republican nomination.
Quite so - we are agreed and united firmly together on that hope. In my case, I'd even call it an "inspring and hopeful vision." In your case, it could turn into a "nightmare."
