Oh, I certainly have a rep among conservative, far right Republicans in this forum, among the Palin acolytes and I am proud of it.

Any time I cannot make a right winger apoplectic, I cannot start him foaming at the mouth, that is the time I will quit participating here.

Careful, SirJP...we're having way too much fun for you to bow out now! I just checked my official Joan of Arc (acolyte certified) makeup mirror and I didn't see a drop of spittle, and certainly no foam!

And you're just too modest - I would think your rep goes well beyond the conservatives here. Hoenstly, you have to start giving yourself more credit!

And pretty much everyones else. Your pompous attitude crosses party lines.

Here you give yourself way too much credit because you lack integrity and really cannot form an argument and your debating skills are lacking.

You prove my point, EagleSmack (of driving a conservative Republican, a Joan of Arc acolyte apoplectic). Thank you.

Any time a conservative Republican, a Palin acolyte cannot think of anything to say about issues and he resorts to personal insults, he proves my point.

I can just see you in front of the keyboard, foaming at the mouth, about to have a conniption, not being able to think of any issues to comment on, just thinking 'how can I insult this so and so who dares to disagree with me?'. it is quite an amusing mental picture.

Don't worry, countryboy, I am not going anywhere. I was only kidding about leaving the forum. I will, however, leave the forum (and here I am not kidding) the day I stop having fun here.

Well, there is still lots to discuss so I guess the fun is far from over. ;-)

"Any time a conservative Republican, a Palin acolyte cannot think of anything to say about issues and he resorts to personal insults, he proves my point."

And any time a liberal/Democrat, obviously an Obama acolyte, keeps on referring to a vibrant, living and obviously very threatening American lady as te long dead French heroine, something is very seriously wrong with their mental capabilities.

Taliking about grasping at straws!

Very threatening lady? Surely you cannot be talking of Palin/Joan of Arc? According to the latest opinion poll, only 26 % of Americans (the far right Republican base) thinks she is qualified to be the president. Most of the US population does not think she is qualified to be the president. She has huge negatives among women. Even a majority of Republicans think that she is not qualified to be the president.

If Joan of Arc is the best Republicans can come up with, I feel sorry for them. But I do agree with you on one thing, I do hope Joan of Arc wins the Republican nomination.

You see...I really didn't prove your point out all...at all.

But this does prove my point about your lack of integrity.

Oh dear.

I can just see you in front of the keyboard, foaming at the mouth, about to have a conniption, not being able to think of any issues to comment on, just thinking 'how can I insult this so and so who dares to disagree with me?'. it is quite an amusing mental picture.

Really? Wouldn't it be great if that was really what was going on? There is a difference between fantasy and reality so you need to find it.

Don't worry, there is still lots of time for people to come to their senses. That "silent majority" is out there and watching things carefully, especially with the big issues like the economy and health care hanging over their heads. As things unfold over the next few years, I think a great number of people will begin to see the value of substance vs. style.

Just as they spoke loud and clear in Massachusetts.

My sister, a pyschiatric nurse, used to tell me about people with amusing mental pictures when she was new to her career, many years ago.

Quite so, countryboy. That is why I said, acolytes like you will have to spread the Good News about the coming of the Saint, of the Messiah (Joan of Arc). People like you will have to be another Paul, another Luke etc. and spread the word among the nonbelievers. Because currently most of US population are very much nonbelievers, 71% of them think that Joan of Arc is not qualified to be the president (and she has lost ground since the election).

Indeed. Psychiatry is a fascinating subject. My son is debating at present whether to opt for psychiatry or Internal Medicine. From what he tells me, Psychiatry seems to be rather simple endeavor. All you have to do is to listen to peoples' problems. There is not a whole lot you can do about them.

But he may decide for Internal Medicine.

That sounds like a disciple assignment, but I don't really like wearing "Jesus boots" (prairie lingo for sandals)...is it OK to carry out this mission with comfortable footwear? I don't mind the flowing robe thing, as it would eliminate any possibility of "underwear line"...mind you, that could be a non-issue if I followed the Celtic tradition of no undies under the kilt.

OK, I think I'm ready now as soon as you give me the word on the footwear thing.
