All I am saying that religion has to have the freedoms to evolve within it self and not be forced to believe other concepts from outside the religion.

Eventually women will have more freedoms under Sharia law but if they cannot or will not follow the laws of their country then they have the choice to leave and go to countries that have more liberal laws.

How do they do that when they cant leave the house, and ya they need to do some big time evolving, heres a good read on why and how they stone their women.
I suggest you give it a read.

On August 10, 1994, in the city of Arak, a woman was sentenced to death by stoning. According to the ruling of the religious judge, her husband and two children were forced to attend the execution. The woman urged her husband to take the children away, but to no avail. A truck full of stones was brought in to be used during the stoning. In the middle of the stoning, although her eyes had been gouged out, the victim was able to escape from the ditch and started running away, but the regime's guards recaptured her and shot her to death.
Kayhan, October 4, 1986, reported that a 25-year-old woman named Nosrat was stoned to death in the city of Qom. She died after an hour of continuous stoning.
The penalty for adultery under Article 83 of the penal code, called the Law of Hodoud is flogging (100 lashes of the whip) for unmarried male and female offenders. Married offenders may be punished by stoning regardless of their gender, but the method laid down for a man involves his burial up to his waist, and for a woman up to her neck (article 102). The law provides that if a person who is to be stoned manages to escape, he or she will be allowed to go free. Since it is easier for a man to escape, this discrimination literally becomes a matter of life and death.

According to the Sharia, despite declarations of the equality of the sexes before God, women are considered inferior to men, and have fewer rights and responsibilities. A woman counts as half a man in giving evidence in a court of law, or in matters of inheritance. Her position is less advantageous than a man’s with regard to marriage and divorce. A husband has the moral and religious right and duty to beat his wives for disobedience or for perceived misconduct. A woman does not have the right to choose her husband, or her place of residence, to travel freely or have freedom in her choice of clothing. Women have little or no autonomy and are deemed to need the protection of their fathers, husbands or other male relatives throughout their lives. Any conduct that undermines the idea of male supremacy will fall foul of the Sharia.

If the men were following the Sharia law fully then there would be no problems.

Do you really believe that? 11 years ago my wife and I went to Egypt then two years ago we went again. Has it changed? Hell yes! Women are CHOOSING the birka, the fashion shops are closing left right and centre. The men did nothing to promote this it was all the women doing so on their own. We noticed the same thing in Jordan and in Turkey. What didn't change was as soon as those ladies got home the make up goes on and the hair gets done up nice.

Next time you're in Dubai be sure to stop by the Hooters for a burger.

If all the armed forces went home then there would be no war.

I thought America was founded on religous freedoms but they American are denying Afghanistan to their religious freedoms.

All the yanks think of is themselves. What goes around comes around. They should remember that...

All you do is think of the Yanks. You KNOW you want to be like us.

I cant understand why someone didnt post a topic about our Canadian troops that are over there and missed x-mas at home.:-(
This is a Canadian site and and not a hate America site.
I hate it when people post blogs as new pieces to further their agenda ,not even a comment after the c-n-p.

With the US despised by and throughout most of the civilized world, is it any wonder topics like this pop up so often? Heck, most Americans themselves have a sense of self-loathing (hi eaglesnack!) due to thier overwhelming greed and appetite to kill for whatever it is they want.
Just our luck as Canadians to be saddled, as next door neighbours, to these miserable people. The sooner they are brought to thier knees, the better of we`ll all be. :canada:

ps...the Canadian gov. chose to drag our military`s sorry asses in to this US created quagmire. No one to blame but ourselves for our part.

in a speech during the 1878 federal-election campaign, Edward Blake, a Canadian parliamentarian, spoke how policies forged by governments in London and Washington in which Canada had no voice were drawing our nation inexorably to war (Russian-Turkish War, 1878. Le plus ça change ... le plus c'est la même chose!

The rest of the world doesnt despise the USA so dont go lumping them in with you and your little hate fest.
There is lots of people on the internet though that use it as a tool to promote their hatred and Ive seen it for many years as it's allways the same lies and bull**** with no facts to back them up.
You can and should thank the USA for many things maybe including your freedom.
So many people willing to jump on the hate bandwagon and their also the first to criticize the USA for not helping out.

I get a kick out of you types though, most are bordering on foiler territory and use the same mo(quote mining, false info, self proclaimed experts etc) so your easy to refute in any debate because unless you can cut n paste someone elses crap your lost in the fog.

I don't think there is a final solution anytime soon. Too bad because our young men on both sides are dying. There is a saying that comes to mind "The road to hell in paved with good intentions".

Afghanistan is one of the most impoverished nations of the world. It is one of the most war-torn, most ravaged, and most beleaguered of nations. It is a nation that has been beset by invasion, external pressure and internal upheaval since before the time of Alexander the Great. Its people are a people who have endured more than most of us can ever imagine. In fact, for many Afghanis, all that has changed in the last one thousand years are the weapons which have been used against so many of them.
Afghanistan History

Take away all the political and other selfish crap our soldiers are there because they want to help the Afghan people. I don't think they give a crap about the rest. They are there doing their duty with the intention of helping the people. However someone gave me this site to see some of the improvements were are making in Afghanistan. This gives me a glimmer of hope because I always believed that we need to win the hearts and minds of the people, and prove to them we are not there only to wage war. We have to prove to them there is a better way to live and that they do not have to put up with oppression as they have for so many years.

There is no quick solution to this problem. I wish I had one but like everybody else I have my opinions but that is all they are, words.
